Diaper Question

Hi,

My 8 month old son now loves sleeping on his stomach and he is waking up every morning soaked with pee.  I'm not sure what do do.  Should I go up a size in the diaper or I've heard they have overnight diapers not sure if those will help...any suggestions?

Re: Diaper Question

  • we had to switch to overnight diapers and now pull ups because we've got a very prolific pee-er.  they worked great.  i've also heard with little boys to make sure they're penis is "facing down".  might help?

  • Where's it leaking from?  The legs or the top?

  • We've never really had that problem, but I've always heard to go up to the next size as soon as they hit the min weight for that size.
  • i use a size up for nighttime with liam. it seems to have done the trick!

Yep, we had this issue too!  I would try pointing it down like PP suggested; and also the Huggies Overnites have worked well for us.
  • we had that problem around that age too, randomly.  we switched to overnight diapers for a few weeks, but then switched to seventh generation diapers in general for all  times of day/night, and they are much more absorbent (i've found).  no leaks since!
  • It's leaking from the top.  We have some bigger size diapers so maybe I'll try that tonight.  Thanks!
  • even with pointing the PP down if he sleeps on his belly it still seemed to leak. hopefully the bigger ones will work for you!!

  • We used Huggies overnights when Ben was that age and they worked great. Now we use cloth diapers on both kids b/c Ben can pee through even double disposable diapers. The cloth ones ROCK (unless he sneaks a full sippy of water right before bed like he did last night then sleeps in an odd position) ;-)

  • just be careful with the bigger size because I've found that they leak more because they don't fit well enough.  I use overnights for my little guy. He's been a tummy sleeper since 6 mos old, and definitely point him down.
