Sewing on Buttons

Can someone please talk some sense into me and tell me that I can manage to change out the buttons on my duvet cover. I have no idea why I seem to think this task is completely undoable by me.

Any sewing tips/tricks?

Re: Sewing on Buttons

  • I use a toothpick in between the button and the fabric so I leave enough give to allow the fabric to go through. I just looked up sewing on buttons on youtube. They have a lot of videos.

  • The toothpick trick sounds good. I've never heard of that. Buttons are pretty easy, though. Just keep mixing up the way you're sewing through the holes, and always sew more than you think you should. You don't want those things falling off.
