?? Truck rental for a few hours ??
Where, besides Home Depot, can one rent a truck for just a few hours?
DH and I want to get a new range and we are thinking maybe Craigslist (since we hope to sell our place ASAP and don't want to spend a lot on things we won't be around to enjoy for long - hopefully!), but we'd need a way to pick it up and haul it.
I've looked at Home Depot, but from the sounds of it, you have to actually purchase something worth hauling at the store. I could be wrong, but that is how the website's blurb reads to me.
Thanks!!

You don't need to purchase at HD to rent their trucks - my old roommate always rented their trucks when she moved.
I don't know of any other place that you can rent for a few hours..

Menards also rents a pickup truck for a few hours. No inside purchase necessary.

Really?! That is good to know! Do you know if they also supply tie-downs and what not?
The HD closest to us doesn't seem to rent trucks, but a few north of us seem to. Do you know how far in advance you need to reserve them?
Great! Thanks - I had looked at their website but didn't see anything. Their website is just like their stores - massive but poorly organized and not user friendly!
I have no idea!! Sorry...

I've rented the Menards Truck a couple times for various things - you supply all tie downs. They do theirs first come first serve so there are no guarantees that it'll be there when you need it but it is pretty inexpensive and easy to do. You just have to supply proof of insurance and your license. I think it is only $20 bucks or so plus some extra taxes and fees. Maybe 30 when all is said and done.
If you have a set time you need to get something, honestly I'd just go rent a U-Haul Pickup because you know when it'll be there.
