Tuesday Accontability Check In
So how'd we do this week, ladies?
For me, it was a sorta fail. I had an unexpected dinner out for MIL's birthday. I tried to keep it healthy, but Longhorn =/= healthy. Then there was Biscotti's on Saturday night. That was my official cheat meal... and boy did I cheat. Rum pound cake with vanilla ice cream? Yes please!
Overall, I spent most of the week trying to combat AF bloat. No gain, no loss.
Re: Tuesday Accontability Check In
I'm going to join in, even though I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm trying to stay really, really healthy and fit so I can bounce back to pre-baby weight quickly, and then go even further with my losing this fall.
This past week was good for me as far as exercise goes. I walked 35-45 minutes each weeknight on the treadmill, and an hour or so on the weekends. Saturday I had 4 meals (early lunch on the road, late lunch at friends, really late dinner), but also walked for 2 hours total, so it was okay. I had fries with my veggie burger for dinner, not the healthiest, but they were delicious.
Sunday I walked, did yard/garden worked, cleaned, and then ate too much pizza. The weekends are always the hardest for me! I can get in good exercise and stay active, but then I eat like a horse, especially when DH is OOT.
So far I've gained 8 lbs. in my pregnancy, which I'm really happy with, trying to keep it around 20 total. This weekend I'll be in Ohio, so I'm going to make sure I get my walking and strength training in because there will be lots of unhealthy food around.
I'm going to weigh myself tonight at the gym, but I'm not expecting a loss. Last week was pretty bad with my eating, I was stressed out so that was my excuse to eat like crap. I know, not a great coping mechanism but I'm not going to beat myself up about it.
I worked out at the gym twice and then did some stuff around the house this weekend that worked up a sweat so I'm counting it.
Not my best week, not my worst either.
I was pretty craptastic. Last week started & ended well, but the in between was seriously lacking. I made it to the gym Mon & Wed like I had planned. Tuesday I had an awesome 10 mile run that I was very happy with & my eating was really good. Thursday night however we had 3 friends come into town and the rest of the weekend resulted in waaaaay too much alcohol calories. Food wise I still did ok, but not great. Sunday I got my 18 mile run in so I was happy with that. Yesterday wasn't great for eating & no excercise, so I refused to get on the scale. I usually have pretty bad bloat after my really long runs, so I think my weigh in days will be Saturday mornings.
I was really surprised to have lost 1.4 pounds this week, putting me down to 146.8!!!
Since it was hard to track the calories I ate at book club, I just assumed I'd used the majority of my extra points for the week. I was good the rest of the week until Friday. CD and I went to the gym, then ate a super healthy dinner (courtesy of Ashlee's blog and CD's cooking) but we consumed a decent bit of wine, a frozen cocktail (we all know how unhealthy those are), and an impromptu run to get frozen yogurt.
That wasn't so bad, but then I ended up at Alehouse with DH after and we split a shrimp and crab quesadilla and salad with ranch, plus a few more drinks. I was pretty good on Saturday, but on Sunday we had Checkers and a few more drinks at Shannon's.
I REALLY thought I was going to gain, or at least not lose but I must have overestimated how many points I used at book club. We're going to Ginnie Springs this weekend and I know it will be hard to eat well so I'm trying to be super strict this week (saving all my extra weekly points) and working out at least 4 days. I was glad to get back to the gym yesterday and plan to go again today if the rain doesn't kill my motivation.
I gained 0.5lbs to 125.0. I attribute it to not hitting my walking goals for the week and eating more carbs than usual last week.
My goal is the same this week - week total of 6 miles, one day of arm weights, one day of leg exercises and one day of ab exercises. I only walked 2 miles last week...big fail there.
Does taking Mungee to MyGym count as exercise? If so, that's all I did.
Foodwise, I didn't go overboard with anything. I tried to keep my portion sizes normal. I still snacked a lot (snack being a bowl of cereal or a bagel). We really don't keep junk food in the house.
I have no idea about weight since I don't have a scale. I have a followup appointment with the OB on Friday, so I guess I will find out then.

My Ovulation Chart
Im down about a half pound, but since Friday I haven't been doing well. I havent ran since I got my new tattoo, but tomorrow Im strapping on the shoes and going out. Im hoping that the socks will scratch my itchy tattoo for me.
I wanted to hae lost a total of 15 pounds on the 30th, but obviously that didn't happen. Im pretty bummed about it, but I also know that I've made good progress and I need to keep on going. Tomorrow's a new day!
On a particularly bloaty AF, I've gone up as much as 6lbs... But gradually lose it over 2-3 days. 8lbs in one night would be stomach flu territory!
I did the same thing

Oh fun! I think i completely missed when this started, but.. yay!
I have no idea what I weigh right now, but I have a guess in my head (where it ALWAYS ENDS UP)... I'll check tonight and go from there for next week.
I was OOT for almost a week and did surprisingly well with my eating, all things considered.. part of that had to do with my stomach being super sensitive to the horrible terrible really-not-good food at the convention center, so my CW and I packed peanut-butter sandwiches and little baggies of cheese-its for lunch the rest of the time. And I think I did pretty decent where portion control is concerned for the dinners out.
Exercise-wise, I didn't do any dedicated working out, but I did an absurd amount of walking between islands of adventure and then the conference, since I managed to pick sessions that were always on opposite sides of the darn place from each other. DH is adding me back to his YMCA membership and I'm going to give that a go... I'm stoked to start spinning again, and hoping it melts the weight the way it did when I was in college. We shall see....
