Week 1 check-in (2 peas class). Come play!
In the spirit of learning something new, I'm going to try to use that stupid little tree to PIP. Here I go. (Clicky for larger, I hope.)

So...what did you think of this week?

Re: Week 1 check-in (2 peas class). Come play!
I will post pics later when I get off work : )
K8elee: what lens are you using?
I used my Nikon 35 prime because it has the widest aperture that I have.
I also had to use my speedlight to get enough light because I did this assignment last Monday and it was raining all day so I couldn't get outside. And my house is a cave.
My silly Lily is almost 4.
I tried to do this assignment in Aperture priority mode, but I honestly think Aperture priority isn't working right on my camera. I was only able to get a properly exposed shot at the fastest f-stop. So, I shot these in fully manual mode (hence why the exposure differs a little from shot to shot). These are from my Nikon D90 with the 18-105mm kit lens fully zoomed to 105.

Baby Macy is here!
12/09 - Macy (daughter) | 4/10 - Began TTC Baby #2 | 12/10 - Chemical Pregnancy | 1/12 - Miscarriage at 14 weeks | DX - PCOS & Hyperthyroidism
If you can upload them to Shutterfly then you should be able to PIP them by copying the image location and pasting it into the Insert Image pop-up.
For whatever reason the only time I can PIP with that method is if I am creating a post. And even then, it will only let me PIP one pic. I have tried using Firefox (I currently use Safari) and I didn't have any luck with that either
But I will give it another shot!
The only thing good about a PC is that you can copy and paste pics on the Nest. Macs suck for the Nest!

That's so weird. I posted mine on our Mac using Firefox. I have trouble with somethings on the Mac if I use Safari (like I can't post emoticons), but I've never had trouble with Firefox. I blame the Nest. Remember when they had that iPad giveaway and there was a picture of an iPad on the homepage every day? I thought that was hilarious b/c Nesting on an iPad is ridiculous.
I think your camera is almost the same as mine, so I'll try to help you guess. In A mode, turn the dial on the back of the camera (upper right side, probably) and you should see your f/ numbers change. Now go take some pictures of some boring cups or something
MrsJason - I hate Macs. I might be the only person on the planet who does, but I think they're totally overrated and unnecessarily difficult for simple things.

That's so weird...I never have trouble with that method in Firefox. I think I have even been able to do it using Google Chrome, too, but I'm not sure. I upload my pics to Photobucket, though. Hmmm.

Google Chrome doesn't let me post pics or emoticons.
THE DIAL! That's what does it. Thank you!
It's pouring rain outside so I took these inside near the living room window. I have a Nikon D3100, if that matters. Am I supposed to talk about the lens and stuff too?

I am even more excited about this class now because I already learned something. I hope this will definitely get me on the right track.
Side note - those little flower paintings were the favors at the wedding I went to this weekend. The bride is an art teacher and hand-painted one for everyone! They doubled as our place cards. I thought they were so cute!

This maybe a dumb question (actually, I know it is) but how do I know what setting my camera took the pic in? Is there a way to figure it out once I have it loaded on to my computer? Does my camera tell me (although I already deleted the pics off my camera)? Or do I just have to remember what pic is what? If that's the case, I guess I should be writing the settings down as I go. Although, this idea seems really complicated and there has got to be a better way to figure the settings out. LOL.
Hmm, maybe I should pull out the manuel?! I wonder where I put it? Or better yet, I wonder where the baby put it?
Anyone have any answers while I look for the manuel? Ha.

I *think* your camera is almost the same, if not the same, as mine. (I have the D60). While the photos are still in camera, when I pull one up with the playback thing, I can hit the up and down on that joystick type thing and it'll show me different things. One view flashes bright red at me to show me where I overblew the photo (thanks), another is the histogram, and then there are two that show the settings and such.
After you've uploaded the photos, it depends on the viewer. In Bridge, it's just right there on the right side of the screen (at least on my workspace). Other viewers it'll show up in "properties" or something like that. If you upload to Flickr, you can view all your exif data there, too.
My silly Lily is almost 4.
Of course! Join us! That's the camera I have, too.
