Relapse
Is anyone else obsessed with shows about drug and alcohol addiction?
Relapse just started last night and I am watching it now, I love these shows and I don't know why. This girl has been shooting up meth for 10 years, that is just crazy to me, I don't know how you could even function on that much meth.

The fact that someone has survived 10 years on meth is amazing, that drug is awful!
I don't watch those shows, but I get sucked into other shows that exploit people's hardships (Hoarders for example). I don't know why I find it so fascinating, sometimes I feel voyeuristic (sp?) watching them.
Very similar to intervention, but this one they start with getting a sober coach. It is on A&E Mondays at 9, I believe.
I watched it last night and thought it was ehhh. I much prefer Intervention, which speaking of...where did that show go? Is this show just on during an Intervention break or what??
What I don't like about Relapse is that the coach is only there for a week. Being clean for a few days is a great start, don't get me wrong, but it looks like his show is trying to imply that they can magically turn a long time drug addict/alcoholic straight after a week. We get more back story and more of a transformation with Intervention which is what I think I'm missing.
