need help with a bird's nest
We have a detached garage that is "open air". It has lattice work on the top half of two of the walls. Last week, DH and I noticed that a little bird had made a nest on top of our garage door opener, but since DH was having knee surgery the next day, we put off doing anything about it. Well, yesterday morning, I went outside and found one of the neighbor's cats scaling the inside walls of my garage. Then, last night, there was a big kerfuffle among cats (not ours) in our backyard. Now my big fear is that snakes will go after the eggs or baby chicks (not sure exactly what's up there in the nest). All of this is making my dogs nutso. However, I am worried that something bad will happen to the birds if I try to move their nest, especially since it seems like all of the neighborhood cats know about it. And I am worried that something bad could happen with the nest being on top of my garage door opener. I don't know who to call about this. WWYD?
