Is it just me or is this unprofessional?
I was sent an email by the middle school asking me for a list of all 6th grade students who will attend there next year and what classes for sped that they need. So, I typed a quick list and sent it today.
I got an email back basically say more information was needed. I replied back and asked why they needed all this information because we've never had to do it before AND we send the student's SPED folders (with all the information they are requesting in it) at the end of the school year.
The lady FORWARDED the email to her PRINCIPAL who then replied to me, her and MY principal. WTH? I'm not allowed to ask a question without you having to go to your boss and tattle to my boss? I don't even know why mine or hers was involved and now I look like an idiot and that I have a problem with doing what they ask.
As a sidenote- this lady at the M.S. is a jerk. All of the elem. schools that feed into her m.s. had a meeting one day and we asked her some questions about how scheduling is done for kids there (obviously different than how we do it here). All she would say is, "It's individual for every student". Yeah, we know that you jerk. We want to know how long your periods are and is their block scheduling.

I have done this before (CC'd extra people to involve higher ups) but only when something clearly cannot be solved between me and the other person. I would say in this situation she's being a whiny tattletale.
Do you at least have a clear reason to defend yourself why you didn't want to send her the info? At least you know you're a bomb ass teacher and your principal is very aware of that...you've got that on your side. Take that, biyotch m.s. lady!

I went down and talked to my principal about it. Before I could even get anything she out she was like, "I know. Some people are just like that".
I did send the information. My problem with it was it's a little redundant because they are given this information in May and second, 6 out of 11 of my kids haven't had their yearly meetings yet in which most of that information will change.
So, I copied the info from my database - coped everyone and their mother on the situation beause I'm snarky like that and sent it on its merry way.
I have no tolerance for whiny little beeyotche's like that. They grate on my nerves!
