Follow up to sundress post

So the one I ordered came today. I think it fits pretty well and I like it. I don't think it was worth the price I paid for a cotton dress though. It better hold up well. I got it from Patagonia. In the photos I'm wearing a strapless bra but it's a little tight that way even though it's a medium (so the bodice is pretty narrow). It has a shelf bra so I might not wear a bra actually. The straps are not adjustable and are pretty snug so I should be held in well. I already had the brown wrap and I think they go well together. ETA: I forgot that I have shoes that match, too. I bought them online a few years ago and didn't realize they'd be so high. I think I can get used to them though...

Very cute. I also like how it looks with the wrap. I'm so self concious about my arms and back and would never be able to pull a dress like that off.

Thanks. My arms and back are still okay I think but I do think the front is a little low if I lean over. I may need to find a strapless top to wear under it so I'm not exposing too much cleavage. Oh course DH disagrees. Wink

Anything Patagonia is going to be overpriced!! DH loves their, um, "technical gear" (aka outdoorsy, expensive clothes he has to buy for work) and it always hurts to see the bill...

However, Patagonia has very high standards especially from an environmental stand point (which to me is worth the price tag), but their items last FOREVER.

I hate it when dresses don't have adjustable straps. My torso is short and I always end up with things that are way more low cut than they should be.

Speaking of being low cut, are you familiar with the boob tube? Great invention. That website, Miss Oops, has a lot of cool stuff like that.

It was $69.00. For some reason I thought it would be a more luxurious looking fabric than cotton so that I could wear it to the formal night on our New England cruise this summer. I guess I didn't pay attention to the fabric when I bought it. I'm thinking I will still wear it but maybe not for the formal night. I might be able to dress it up with the wrap and shoes and jewelry though.

Hee, the cruise ship fashion police! They'd be pretty busy with the people who wear sweats. No, but I think they do require men to wear ties to the formal night. As long as I had the wrap on, I'd probably be fine.
