Graduation announcements...tacky or no? POLL
Ok, I seriously have about 8 family members on both sides I would even send an invitation to. With that being said, the company that sells them will not sell them in packages of less than 25 for $57. I really don't want to spend $57 for invitations I won't even use.
I thought about making my own but I don't know. Maybe I won't send any at all.
What to do, what to do?

Re: Graduation announcements...tacky or no? POLL
Did you send any when you graduated from undergrad? I know I didn't. Here's my opinion about graduation announcements.
High School: "yay I'm graduating and going off to school! Please send me money to help pay for that!" Perfectly acceptable.
Undergrad: "Yay I'm graduating and going off into the real world! Now I have all this debt! Please help me pay for that!" I give the side eye.
Graduate: "Yay I'm graduating and should get a good job! I have lots of student loans! I'm an adult now, but who cares, send me money!" I would give the major side eye.
By no means do I think that your accomplishment should be swept under the rug or anything like that, I just don't know that I think announcements are appropriate. This is probably a flameful idea, but that's what I think. I know it's not all about money, but that's where my brain goes when I get one in the mail. Why not have a BBQ and invite all those people over to have a grad party to celebrate instead?

Please don't be sorry. I actually feel the same way which I think is another reason I don't want to spend the money. The ONLY people I'm even sending one to is family (mostly DH's) because they'll be mad if I don't.
My family could care less. They'll be at my actual graduation and we will go out to eat after that. I think I'll just make my own for the family members I'm sending it to and be done with it.
I did send them out for HS and my undergrad. However, it was mostly my parents friends and our church family that got them. All my friends in high school were graduating with me so why the heck would I send them an announcement to their graduation? lol

I didn't send them to any of my friends, they all went to family and parents friends. My SIL's get them from their graduating friends and I think it's weird. HS graduation is a way bigger deal around here than college graduation. Like you do not miss graduation parties for anything. We had to plan my shower around the graduation party season.
