I can't catch a break.

Most of you know I've had a rough spurt with family passing away since October. First it was Sam's grandfather, then my uncle.

Well now my grandma's in the hospital because she had a stroke and her kidneys aren't functioning the way they should be. I worry about her because she's had an open heart surgery, a couple of cardiac caths, and she's diabetic. I am so afraid something is seriously wrong with her and I know myself as well as the rest of my family can't handle another loss so soon after that of my uncle. She is the glue that holds my family together... she raised 9 kids on her own after she left her abusive husband and put herself through nursing school. She is one of the strongest women I know and to see her being so weak/sick is really scary. I am really hoping she'll pull through it fine (all of her sisters had a stroke and survived them) but there is this little nagging part of me reminding me of all the health issues she's had in the past and I can't help but think of her mortality. (I mean, who's grandparents are really around forever?? I'm lucky that I'm 28 and I still have both of my grandmothers)

I just need to see the silver lining in everything again because I'm starting to get pretty bummed. :(
