XP: cleaning silver

I own tons of silver (frames, flatware and dishes). Most are sentimental items that I display. I tried to clean them with a pot of baking soda but the cleaning/shine does not last long. I also used a tarnish remover without gloves and I am still having issues typing (my hands were burnt!!). I am looking for some product that does not smell horribly, does not burn my skin and that polish and  shine my flatware for a couple of month. I heard about Stanley products, are they good??

Thanks!
