Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I take back all my whines about my ILs
. . . because in addition to a (known) generous birthday gift yesterday, I got home today to find an Amazon box with a surprise KINDLE in it!!
Seriously - they might drive me slightly crazy for the two weeks a year that I have to spend on the same continent as them (and really, what ILs don't cause a little insanity?) - but I've got to hand it to them in the thoughtful/generosity department. They continually blow me away!
Of course, I also now feel REALLY guilty because when I spoke to FIL on Sunday he asked me about Kindles (he got one for Christmas) and asked if I'd ever get one. I told him I thought they were neat, but I liked the feeling of holding a book in my hands. He agreed but said that the portability aspect was great for his train-rides into London (which is probably the old time the guy sits still for more than 10 minutes!). I didn't exactly poo-poo the Kindle, but I probably didn't show the enthusiasm they were hoping for either. But how was I to know they'd get one for me?!?!
Now that I have one, however, I am SUPER excited!!
