Okay, so AW your s/o.

We were discussing how we couldn't believe it has been a year already.  He told me that if the next 60 years go as fast as this one did, it is not enough of me for him.

Re: Okay, so AW your s/o.

  • DH is beside himself excited for our future little one.  We've been together 9 years.  He has gone from not really caring if he ever had kids, to yes I want them someday, to ok I'm ready to a giggly, belly rubbing fool.

Also, since he's been home (Fingers crossed, interview this afternoon!!!), he's been REALLY taking care of the house.  He started off tackling the house like it was his job.  Then, he went through a down time where he was getting depressed and doing a whole lot of nothing.  But, just this week, he's done laundry, dishes, cooking, cleaned the bathrooms, and all kinds of yard work.

  • DH is so excited about our baby. He tries really hard to learn about baby stuff so he can be as useful as possible when she gets here. That includes reading, taking classes, asking coworkers, you name it. I love how involved he wants to be.

Also, he gives the most amazing backrubs. They have been a lifesaver lately. I feel like I can get the rest of the way through this pregnancy thanks to his backrubs.

  • That man lurves me, I know I am not an easy person to deal with all the time. I'm stubborn and headstrong and not always very compassionate. He really doesn't ask for a lot from me at all and does whatever I ask and tries to please me. I can honestly say after 9 years and the last 2 being the hardest, we are still crazy about each other.

  • Awww, these are all making me smile.  :)
  • DH has been the best husband I could ask for during this pregnancy. He makes dinner, cleans the kitchen, does the laundry, makes me a grilled cheese after I've already eaten dinner because I'm hungry again. He talks to the baby and asks me if I've taken my vitamins. He is just so caring and so selfless.

  • DH just left to go back on his ship for 3 weeks.  I cried my eyes out....DS is only a little over 2 weeks old and I can't help but think how DH feels about leaving him and how big Jamie will be when he comes back.  DH has been such a great help.  He stayed right by my side during the difficult labor and he tells everyone how "it's so hard to watch the person you love the most in so much pain."  He changed diapers and got Jamie ready for bed every night.  Whenever I was feeling so exhausted Dh would take the baby out for little walks around the yard and to spend some Daddy time.  I am counting the days until he can come home and we can all be together again!

  • DH has been so incredibly supportive while my parents have both been sick. He's let me cry when I needed to cry, taken me out for drinks when I just needed an escape, and listened without judgment as I go from sad, to angry, to bitter, etc. He even insisted that we use the spending money that we'd saved from our job to get my parents a really awesome beach house for our family vacation in St. Augustine (replacing the Cancun trip that we're no longer taking). He didn't even think twice about it.

I'm also just really grateful of how supportive he's been over the years while I finished my graduate degree. We wouldn't be where we are now without all of his hard work and his willingness to put school on the back burner for me to finish. I'm so proud of him now and I can't wait to see him achieve his goals.

One more. He's been incredibly supportive of my goals to lose weight, but not because he thinks I need to lose it. He doesn't care either way but he wants me to be happy. He'll go to the gym with me, eat healthy with me, doesn't eat in front of me late at night, etc. He's just making a sincere effort to do all the little things that make this process easier for me. Plus he comments on results. I mean, he always tells me I'm beautiful but lately he's been saying "wow, I can see the difference here, or there, etc." and it's great because he's not just throwing out a generic "way to go hun," but instead he's really paying attention.

Oh, and he has a nice butt. Wink

  • H is a great furdaddy. I know that he's not ready to start a family yet but when we do, he's going to be a great dad. He's come a long way from when we first started dating 6 1/2 years ago. We used to argue and he just would not give in. Now he listens to what I have to say and then we argue, lol. He's also very supportive of my new-found love of baking.

  • Mine's an AW for both of us that our communication skills together have improved leaps and bounds over the last year or two.
  • DH works at a medical library.  When I was diagnosed with PCOS he pulled a journal that talked about it and read up on it.  He also looked up information relating to fertility and PCOS so he could help us make a plan.

I thought it was really sweet.

  • DH gets home a lot later than I do, usually after I'm already in bed and (I assume that he thinks) asleep, and he always snuggles up next to me, being very careful not to "wake me", then puts his hand on my belly to see if he can feel the baby moving. I never say anything, because I know he thinks I'm sleeping and I feel like it's almost a moment between him and our little girl, but it's very sweet.

  • Whenever DH makes my lunch, he'll leave a little note in there for me. Sometimes its from him, sometimes its from the dogs. It makes me smile.
