U/D new job

I've been going in to the new job for a couple hours each day after I get out of my current job.  So far, so good.  Everyone's really nice.

They make watersports equipment (surfboards, kayaks, etc).  We are encouraged to borrow the products so we have first hand knowledge on how they are.  I met someone yesterday who offered to teach me how to windsurf.  Looks like I'll be starting a new hobby.

Re: U/D new job

  • That sounds fun but also really cold!  I remember visiting my grandparents in CT in July as a kid and even in the middle of the summer the water is cold up there!  I'm assuming you wear wetsuits when you do it, right?
  • How fun!  What a cool company!!!! I agree with PP though, my IL's have a beach house in Mystic, CT and I won't even stick my toes in the water in July because it's so cold!  However, maybe my perception of cold water is skewed now :)
  • Ha.  I don't know.  I suppose you could.  My friend surfs. She has a full wetsuit for the winter & a 1/2 suit for the spring/fall.  I don't think she wears one in the summer.  But she also does the polar bear plunge.  She might not be a good person to gauge the water temp.

We get used to the cold water up here.  I try to convince myself that it's refreshing. Confused

    Yep.  They make those too.

@ Aegis-  C'mon.  Sometimes it's not that bad.
