I like the pink and black one best. Then again, I'm a designer. What kind of job are you looking to get?

I'm not feeling the tree. If nothing else I'd go with one of their cards without any image embellishment instead of the tree.

Also, I wouldn't go with their free business cards. They print a small Vistaprint advertisement on the back. Google Vistaprint 90% off and you should be able to buy premium cards for just a few bucks. I'd also get the glossy (I've had both from them).

If you're in accounting, you need something VERY traditional. Unless you're in a really creative field (like graphic design), your business card is not a place to show your personality.

I'm not a huge fan of this one, but it appears to be the most professional of the ones available. Truthfully, if we received some of the other ones, we'd laugh at them. Sorry.

I work in Career Development in a University. Are you trying to get a job with the Big Four? I completely agree with PP on going the traditional route- esp. in the field of accounting. I would definitely NOT get the one with the tree design. If you're going to create personal contact cards, they need to look as professional as the ones that you would have as an employee of that firm.

I do not want to work for a Big 4 but I am interested in public accounting. You are right about the designs. I just want to find something that is a little more special than plain, all white and boring.

Why don't you do this. Go to one career fair and get business cards from companies you'd be interested in working for. Then, use those as a model for what your own card should look like.

The idea here is to have accomplishments that stand out, not business cards, funky suits, etc. Some of the ones you liked and they posted there are the business card equivalent of a pink scented resume. They'll make you stand out, but not in a good way.

The new ones you posted look much better, but I'd still find out what employers have at the career fair since these can be very field-specific. If everyone who you want to hire you has all-white business cards, you want an all-white business card, too, if nothing else then to show that you know the norms in the field.

You're getting warmer, but in this situation I don't think being plain jane and boring is a bad thing. I think any potential recruiter will be more impressed with your gpa (assuming it's a good one) than a personal contact card design. I wouldn't try and be terribly unique. I like PP's idea of going to a career fair and looking at what business cards the recruiters have.

ETA: I like 1 and 3 of the new ones you posted.

Agreed! Accountants are not known for being artsy or creative, or being very accepting of those who are artsy or creative. Think plain. Think simple.

RE Vistaprint, I greatly prefer the quality of the cards at overnightprints.com. They are much heavier weight and come with a UV coating that is slightly glossy. They always have great coupon codes available as well, so the prices are comparable to Vista's paid cards.
