places for group to eat in old town?
groups of us, saying eight people, including a 6 year old are heading to Old Town on Sat night. i suggested the Fish Market but looking for other ideas.
i haven't been down there in a long time. i know there is a new place across the street from Fish Market where a mexican restaurant used to be but not sure what that is.
Re: places for group to eat in old town?
we met a friend of ours at bilbao baggins last month and had a great time - awesome beer, food was delish. we sat in the bar but the restaurant looked like a good spot for groups.

my boss at mshc recommended union street pub, we've only been for brunch but the dinner menu looked good: http://www.unionstreetpublichouse.com/
I wouldn't take a kid to Union Street, because people tend to go there to really drink.
But, there's a Red Rocks down here, and they do groups- the pizza is pretty good. Not an especially glamorous location, but that's probably where I'd choose to go with a group of that size/ ages.
Stand up for something you believe in.
We had our rehearsal dinner at Bilbo Baggins. It's a great place for a group.
There's also Pizza Paradiso, though you may have to wait for a while on a Sat night.
Overwood is good, the food is tasty and I think you could probably get a reservation there. It's owned by the people who own Boulevard Woodgrill in Clarendon (if that matters). www.theoverwood.com
There's always Austin Grill too. Moderately priced Mexican and good for groups and kids.
Overwood does take reservations for groups and we have always had good service and food there.
We also like Red Rocks and Faccia Luna for pizza.
Another fan of Faccia Luna as well, although it can get suuuuper-crowded on the weekends and I'm not sure if they take reservations. (According to Yelp, they don't.)
Another option is the Light Horse on King Street. I think their upstairs bar usually gets more business, however, the dining room downstairs is pretty low-key and never really gets crowded. Another plus, they take reservations.
