Is this weird to you?

I was on the springhill regional website looking for something and I found this baby nursery. They have pictures of all the babies that have been born.

Is that strange? Do the parents have to sign a consent? Lila is there.. Chelsea, did you sign a consent for that?

Re: Is this weird to you?

  • My hospital did that, which I didn't realize until after the fact.  But IDK, while I think they should have permission, it didn't much bother me that Macy was on there.  I probably won't object for the next baby either.  But that being said, I am not a high status person and people don't much care about me on my baby :)

  • I've seen that done before too.  I don't have kids, so IDK if that would bother me or not.  I'm guessing not.

  • I guess it's not that strange. i mean you can google babies and billions of baby images will come up.

  • Are the babies names listed? If so I would hope they had consent.

I would be ok with my childs picture being posted but not with the name. I know the pedi and OB/GYN offices i go to have pictures of babies up on the walls down the hallway

  • I remember when I had Declinn they did that.  I signed a consent.  I do know that now the hospital that I gave birth at has the "baby patch" secured.  In order to see pictures you have to have a password and you  cannot look at any other babies.
  • Umm, I had NO idea about that! I am going to look now.

  • Ok, thats not so bad. You sign to have the photos taken and that is just an easy way for people to find them I guess. It takes you to the Our365 Website where you purchase the photos.

Lilas photos are HORRIBLE. They look nothing like her and the minimum photo purchase is almost $50. MH even took photos of her before she went to get her photo taken and they look like Lila and nothing like what the hospital ended up with. We chose not to buy them :( I am soo upset about it. Jason did a fantastic job and the photos were taken 2 days after we left the hospital, so we will just use those as her "hospital photo".

  • Not weird, I've seen this for a number of years now.  I do believe that consent forms are necessary.  I did not allow Ava's info to be published and declined the hospital photographer's services.  I can take better pictures than them, lol.

back in the day the hospital did it for the parents, I am sure you had to sign something ( I can't remember my baby is 20 yrs old!) I dont have a new paperclipping of him, but  he was sick and in the "sick nursery" so I think we got different treatment
