Both of you referenced a tie-up curtain in a post a few weeks ago. MrsT had a link to her FB with a photo, but I couldn't view it (probably because we aren't friends?).
Anyways, do either of you have directions or a photo that I could view? I've got to figure out what I'm doing on the rest of our windows.
Re: MrsT624 & BP
Did you use a back and front fabric?
What type of fabric would you recommend?
And the most important question: would this style work on a window 61" in length?
Well, I only made mine to be temporary (I have a roman shade now), so I bought the cheapest fabric I could find. I think it cost me about $5 including the ribbon.
I cut 2 pieces of fabric (I just used the same fabric for both sides, but you could do it different to save on cost), sewed them together on 3 sides (all sides but the top), turned it right side out, folded it over to make the rod pocket and then sewed that part. Then I sewed the ribbon in place.
You could definitely do it for 61 inch windows. You would have more fabric to deal with, but it would still work as long as you were careful with stitching straight (I am not the greatest at this, but mine turned out pretty well anyway).
