Health & Fitness check-in
how are you ladies doing w/ your goals?
I've eaten pretty healthy this week (aside from eating like a whole box of fruit snacks this weekend....evil tasty things. no wonder we never buy them).
Other than that, just trying to survive this job is all i can do....

Re: Health & Fitness check-in
I've been doing great! the pants I have on today, I can do up, without the aid of an elastic. I couldn't do that two months ago. I'm pretty sure my weight loss has reached the 10 lb mark (however I don't own a scale) 10 more to go till my goal.
I have been vegan for over 5 weeks now, and have no intention on ever going back. I have more energy than ever before.
M: strength and stretching- DONE
T: run 3 miles- DONE
W: walk 2 miles
TH: run 3 miles & strength
F: rest
S: run 4 miles
S: walk for 30 min.
I haven't weighed myself in a while - stinks because I used to weigh myself in the mornings before I got in the shower. Now, with all the exercising, I'm showering at night and that normally means right after dinner. Not exactly the time of day that I want to be weighing myself!
Eating-wise, I've been ok. Like always, we don't eat all that poorly, but I still need to do a better job at portion control. And I'd like to try to get back to tracking my calories with Sparkpeople. I'm interested to see exactly how many calories I eat in a day - I just find that dinners are so hard to input!
Exerise-wise, doing good! Still going about 4-5x a week. I haven't been to spin class in 2 weeks...I just needed a day off. But I'm going back this week for sure. This past Friday was my first long run of my training schedule. 20 minutes straight. When I've done C25k in the past, I've always stopped when I've gotten to this point. Just seeing it on the schedule was always so scary! But I did the run, ran the whole time and I felt so proud of myself when I was done! This Friday is 25 minutes straight. Not to mention the fact that after today's run, I have no more interval training....it's all longer run. Eek!!
since now I'm prego, my fitness goals have obviously changed. right now the doctor doesn't want my heart rate going over a certain number, because apparently it's bad for the baby, so I've had to alter my workout a bit. Instead of doing an hour of hard core cardio 3 times a week, I've slowed down to walking on the treadmill every day, and I'm going to start taking pre-natal yoga and pilates classes they offer on base. apparently pre-natal yoga is helpful later on, when I deliver and with the healing process...who knew?! but it does make sense!
eating wise, I'm doing OK. I've discovered that, believe it or not, Chef Boyardee (which, yes, as an adult I still enjoy!) now makes a whole grain version that also had a full serving of veggies in every can. It makes for an easy dinner once in a while since I'm not much feeling like cooking, especially with Derek gone. I'm also doing a lot of whole grain cereals with extra fiber, and lots of oranges!
right now my weight goal is pretty much just to maintain. it's ok to lose a little bit of weight right now, and I've actually lost 10 lbs since getting pregnant...but come next month, I will probably start gaining about a pound a week, and if I work on maintaining now, it's better for later!
I didn't bring my lunch yesterday, and I resisted getting the bacon wrapped hot dog in the cafeteria. I know it sounds disgusting... but I had one once somewhere else and it was amazing. Instead, I got a salad and grilled chicken
Down 16lbs
Really need to get back into the gym routine again tho, its slacking bad.
