Did you try a gentle leader at all? We have one for Kirby, but she still pulls a ridiculous amount. I'm curious if you found the easy walk to work better? Or did you not try a gentle leader?
I'm wondering if it's worth a shot if the leader isn't working.
Re: Kiz - Easy Walk
Boston is fine walking with the easy walk harness.
We've tried both on Renzo and the gentle leader works much better on him but still doesn't stop all pulling. He's a freak of nature. He'll pull so hard that he can barely breathe and his eyes look like they are going to bug out of his head. *sigh*
lol Oh Renzo.
OP - Both my pups have easy walk harnesses and they seem to work well. I have not tried the Gentle Leader myself, however.
Puckett is the same way! It's ridiculous. The harness only encourages him to pull harder, too; I'm guessing that's the husky in him
Do the gentle leaders work well? We tried one with him when he was 5-6 months, and he just got frustrated with it. He's over a year now, though, so maybe we should try again?

This is what Rusty does. He is such a laid back dog, but you get him close to other dogs and kids and he goes CRAZY. He just LOVES them soooo much and wants to play.
We have both the Gentle Leader and Easy Walk. I think the GL works a little better, but our guys don't like it. The Easy Walk doesn't fit right which I think is a huge part of the problem. Needless to say walks are not the most fun in our house right now

The harnesses that clip on the front on their chest are supposed to deter pulling (vs. a sled-dog type harness that clips on their back that encourage pulling.)
The gentle leader does help Renzo a little but he just becomes so oblivious that he's wearing it or that there is a human on the other end of his leash. His brain goes into squirrel-hunting hypermode when we're on walks and that's it. We can wave treats, yell his name and get ZERO response. The dog is a robot programmed to do one thing when on walks - FIND SQUIRRELS OR ELSE! Dun dun dun! I love him to pieces but walks are NOT fun. I end up really disliking him by the time we get home...not a place I want to be. :-( I will admit we rely VERY heavily on the dog park for exercise but so far that has been okay....
Sigh. Renzo.....stinker....I love you.....Sigh.
