Good thoughts needed pls

My hubby has not been feeling well.  He started having some slight chest pains while we were in Maine. Yesterday he was home sick with horrible aches and pains, chills etc.  Today he is having the chest pains again, but worst.  He is at Urgent Care now waiting to be seen.

Please think good thoughts that he is ok.  He is too young to have chest pains....

Re: Good thoughts needed pls

  • Thank goodness he's getting checked. Will be keeping Marcos in mt thoughts today.

  • Hopefully its just related to a chest cold-bronchitis or pneumonia. If you not happy with the urgent care go to the hospital that way they can run test stat like cardiac enzymes. good luck and keep us posted.

  • There are a lot of respiratory infections going around.  Hopefully that's all it is!  I remember last year I had terrible chest pains and it turned out to be pleurisy.  Hoping it's more simple like that for Marcos.  Keep us posted!

  • Thanks ladies.  He said the pain goes right through his chest to his back like a knife.  Urggg....so, so scary.
  • So glad he is getting checked out. I hope everything is okay and it's just a chest cold.

    Thinking of you both!

  • Thinking of you...let me know how he makes out....
  • So he has been there for almost 2hrs and has not been called yet.  He is getting frustrated and wants to leave....grrr...how can I keep him there!
  • Amanda, when I had my gall bladder attacks and was similiar... pain in the middle of my chest and went all the way through to the back like a knife....Make him stay.  I'm really surprised that he is not being seen right away for chest pains.  Maybe you should tell him to go to the ER.  He would be seen right away there!

  • Thanks everyone!  He just got out and the dr's said he heard wheezing and thinks he has slight bronchitis.  Gave him a Z Pack and Robotussin w/Codine and is out of work for 3 days.

I am making him an appt w/my dr to get checked out since he will be home.

I will let you all know what they say!

    Thanks for your thoughts.

  • Glad to hear he got out and will lie low for the next few days.  I would also check for gall bladder because that is the pain I also had for that as well.

  • Oh my goodness - I hope everythign is ok.  Keep us posted!

  • hope everything is ok!
  • Oh good. The codine will help him sleep. He can take motrin for the pain too that will also help the chills and fever if he has it. Z pack is great!  Hope he feels better soon.

  • Sending good thoughts .

That happened to Dave before and he literally thought he was having a heart attack the pains were so bad-we almost called 911.  It was pneumonia !!

  • I haven't been home all day, so I came back looking for an update. I hope that the doctors are right, and that it's *just* bronchitis, and the meds prescribed will clear him up without a problem.

Still thinking of you guys. Please keep us posted after his appointment with your doctor.
