Re: extreme couponing...
Those chics are nucking futs!!!!!!! Yes, they are super successful at what they do but how about you donate some of those free groceries instead of hoarding in your house?!?! And the poor kid with 146 rolls of TP under his bed, heaven forbid the house catch on fire b/c he'd be toast!
Seriously though, the one woman spent 2 HOURS checking out. First, if I was the cashier I'd want to kill her. Second, these people already spend hours upon hours clipping coupons. There are not enough hours in the day for me to focus that much time on groceries. I really feel like these women have a disorder. Being frugal is one thing, they are CRAZY!

LOLZ!!!
it seemed the most appropriate way to describe the situation

Many of them are BUYING the coupons...either buying multiple copies of the Sunday paper or actualy subscribing to coupon services online. Plus they are paying for computer ink and paper to print the coupons. If they don't work I guess you can't factor in the time they spend but if you are spending hours to find the coupons and deals plus go shopping that has to cost something in the long run.
I'm curious how much they spend on that vs/how much they save when you factor in the extra costs.
I think these people are addicted to getting deals and seeing how much they can save. They need to go to rehab.
I will say that I have always used coupons. I buy the Sunday paper, cut out what I need/want and file them in my little coupon book. I really don't think it takes that much time to do or to check out.
I wonder at what point stores will start putting limits on how many coupons people can use.
I think it's pretty crazy. I coupon, match up when I can, stock up a bit (maybe 2 packs of toilet paper, not 236), and look at the Publix ads. I maybe save $15/week b/c most of the stuff we buy doesn't have coupons.
I watched the first or second episode of Extreme Couponing. One lady turned their garage into grocery storage!
