Re: WW check-in
To answer my own post...
I missed my meeting yesterday morning, but went in the afternoon. I had a loss and made my 5% goal! FINALLY! I have not been exercising as much, so this was a bit of a surprise. I need to find a gym that I like ASAP.
Ack! I owe you passes. I even set them aside a month ago. I could mail them to you, or we could meet for a drink... let me know.
I'm about to go to my meeting, but I already got on the scale this morning and I'm not pleased. No gain, but no loss either. I'm hovering at a number that it would feel really good to slip under.
I've been experimenting with activity points. I was just letting them build up and using my weekly points up, but then I worried I wasn't eating enough on workout days. So now I'm tracking them daily and using them that day (within reason), but I can't tell how well that's working either. I'd love to hear how others treat them? Use them? Ignore them?
I was going to weigh in last night, and realized I left my book on my desk. So I went to the gym instead. I wasnt expecting to see any difference so I was okay with working out. My home scale says Im down a few pounds but I dont count that since I usually weigh at home in the AM, and my WW meeting is in the evening. So hopefully next wed will be good numbers.
Ive done really well the last couple of days, and havent had much issue with the mindset part of it, which is what gets me every time. Im almost done with Made to Crave and already have plans to re-read.
regarding the activity points vs weekly:
I switched it online so that I use my activity points first, and then my weekly points. Makes me feel like I need to earn the extra stuff I am eating. You cant make the switch on your phone, but you can through the website. It took me several minutes to figure out where though. And I have no clue how I did it either. haha.
Most days I have a hard time eating my normal daily allowance (without workingout). But when I do workout, I am usually starved. And I typically just disregard my weekly points altogether.
Chicklit, let's get a drink! That would be fun.
I rarely use my activity points, but I usually do use something between half to all of my weekly points. I am torn about the weekly points. They are great to have in case I go out to eat or want dessert, but I often feel like 49 is too many per week. I wonder if I would lose more if I used fewer of those, but my meeting leader says that the opposite is usually true. Anyway, I feel like I would be eating too much if I used my activity points *and* my weekly points. Maybe I will try to switch mine around, as Risa suggests.
I've been doing no bueno. However, we're planning a beach vacation next month and that has helped get me motivated. We usually drink (quite a bit) a couple of nights a week. I'm definately cutting that down to 0 or 1 night and then it'll be just a couple of glasses of wine. I know all those stupid empty calories are a big problem for me. Also, DH and I are going to work hard at keeping each other committed. So, if one of us suggests grabbing a burger or something, the other one can remind us not to.
So...not exactly WW update but related. Good luck to everyone!
