How is Brookside Gardens? I'm contemplating taking my Mom there for Mother's Day. She is a huge garden enthusiast and we've already been to Ladew and Longwood Gardens. TIA!

Its nice - I like it there alot. It'll probably be insanely crowded on Mothers Day though.
They connect to a larger park (Wheaton Regional) that has lots of picnic spots, playgrounds, carousel, etc. which is really popular.

We go to their Christmas train display every year. Brookside Gardens is nice, but it's not huge. It's fairly small - the conservatories. But there are grounds you can walk around.
What about the US Botanic Gardens in DC?
