Anyone have a Honda CRV or a Jeep Patriot?

We have to buy a vehicle and we are going shopping this weekend. I have found a 2009 jeep patriot I really like. I also have been looking at the Honda CRV. Both vehicles get decent gas mileage.

I am anxious to go test drive them on saturday and look at the back. I want to see how much room it has. If anyone has one of these vehicles I would love a review.

  • I've heard good things about the CRV, as far as reliability and such. Can't normally go wrong with a Honda. I did hear from some friends who drove them that they ride kinda wonky, but I'm not sure what that means.

We have a Cherokee, not the patriot, and we love Jeep. It has held up impeccably well and never given us a problem.

  • I had a 99 CRV a few years ago, and I LOVED it!  Unfortunately, it was totalled in a car accident.  I found it to be quite roomy, and it drove more like a car than an SUV.  I had very few issues with it, it got great gas mileage, and it held everything I needed (even when moving apartments in law school).

  • I have an older (2004) CR-V and I love it.  It has never given me one iota of trouble.  The only thing I can say is that DH hates driving it, because he is 6'3" and can't get the seat back far enough for his long legs.
