  • 1. What posters/pictures did you have hanging on your walls? Devon Sawa, Zachery Ty Bryan, JTT
    2. What ridiculous trend did you follow? I don't think I was trendy. Not that I would want to dress that way today, I never really went overboard.
    3. What was your favorite band/singer? Hanson
    4. Who was your BFF do you talk to that person today? Kate - we started to drift Sr. year and she had no interest in keeping in touch in college. We are friends on FB, but her FB hasn't been updated in like 6 years, if her friends now didn't tag her in pics once or twice a year I wouldn't know she was still alive.
    5.  Favorite Memory from this time in your life? Nothing comes to mind.

  • 1. What posters/pictures did you have hanging on your walls? U2, Sid Vicious, John Taylor, Simon LeBon, and a framed Unicorn poster my dad gave me as a birthday gift. I also had a cork board with photos of friends and celebrities and little souvenirs from camp and such.
    2. What ridiculous trend did you follow? It was the end of the 80s and into the early 90s, so you name it, I think I followed it. I think one of the most pervasive trends, though, was the pants with suspenders (never actually used, but just hanging down) and the double-up effect of wearing two differently-coloured polo shirts (collars popped) and same with socks.
    3. What was your favorite band/singer? Duran Duran-- I wanted to marry John Taylor in the worst way.
    4. Who was your BFF do you talk to that person today? There were three of us-- the twins Aimee and Reagin and then Kirsten. Kirsten is the only one I still kind of keep in touch with now. And I was really close to my friend Alex Cary and I still talk to her now, but not as BFFs.
    5.  Favorite Memory from this time in your life? Visits with my grandparents who aren't alive anymore; my two month visit to my aunt and uncle in Australia.
    6. Bonus: PIP a picture of you as a pre-teen/teenager. I have to find one!

  • 1. What posters/pictures did you have hanging on your walls? I was just reliving this memory the other day - me and my BFF would ride our bikes to the local stationary store and go through all the 16 and  Bop magazines to find pictures of the boys we liked, buy what we could then and hide the others to come back later - I loved them all - Joey from NKOTB, Leo, Brad, Luke Perry...
    2. What ridiculous trend did you follow? A lot of the same things as PP - slap bracelets, slouch socks, neon, Hypercolor, L.A. Gear sneakers with three different sets of colored laces...I also went through a grunge phase in 6th-7th grade, where I'd wear my father's huge flannel shirts  Embarrassed
    3. What was your favorite band/singer? Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, NKOTB...these were my first concerts.
    4. Who was your BFF do you talk to that person today? I met my BFF back in nursery school and I still consider her my BFF today - granted, we live about 7 hours apart now and don't speak too often, but I can't ever imagine a time where she - and her family - won't be part of my life.
    5.  Favorite Memory from this time in your life? Unfortunately, I don't have a scanned photo of this time, but I wasn't just a little bit of a nerd.  I think I was unaware enough to not really care too much and just truly enjoyed everything I did - I was super happy, carefree - me and my BFF were always having sleepovers and making up silly games...we had a ton of fun all the time.  We had plenty of other friends, but they never "got" us the way we "got" us.

  • 1. What posters/pictures did you have hanging on your walls? I wasn't allowed to hang up posters or pictures because it might rip the wallpaper or mark my closet doors.  Thanks mom! :-P
    2. What ridiculous trend did you follow? slap bracelets, rolling the bottoms of my jeans up, flannel shirts
    3. What was your favorite band/singer? Paula Abdul (cringing, absolutely cringing)
    4. Who was your BFF do you talk to that person today? Cate!  We were BFF from 4th-6th grade.  Unfortunately, we drifted apart after that and except for when our parents run into each other around town, I have no connection with her.
    5.  Favorite Memory from this time in your life? Riding bikes with Cate downtown and spending our allowance on frozen yogurt and make-up.
    6. Bonus: PIP a picture of you as a pre-teen/teenager.
  •   1. What posters/pictures did you have hanging on your walls? Kirk Cameron. I was so in love with him. 2. What ridiculous trend did you follow? Rolling bottoms of jeans, double socks (2 different colors), big hair, lots of the rubber bracelets. 3. What was your favorite band/singer? NKOTB & Tiffany 4. Who was your BFF do you talk to that person today? I had two. My friend Sue, and only once in a great while do we still talk. She moved out of state. The other one, Jamie, we talk daily. 5.  Favorite Memory from this time in your life? Going down the the pit with Sue and playing Indiana Jones, as well as ice skating there. 6. Bonus: PIP a picture of you as a pre-teen/teenager. I would but don't have any of those here at work. All I can say is imagine tall (all legs), skinny, glasses, the big dork look.

    1. What posters/pictures did you have hanging on your walls?
At one point, I had a poster for the movie Eraserhead on my wall.  I was a little on the fringe then. At another point in time, I had a picture of David Boreanaz glued to the remote control of my TV.
    2. What ridiculous trend did you follow?
    JAMZ
    3. What was your favorite band/singer?
    REM
    4. Who was your BFF do you talk to that person today?
We moved when I was entering 7th grade, so my BFF when I got to my new school was Allison.  Does FB friends count?  She actually sent me a huge box of hand-me-down baby clothes when I was pregnant, which I thought was really nice.
    5.  Favorite Memory from this time in your life?
Not really one memory in particular, really more the feeling of having no fear and no responsibilities.  My sister moved back to Maine and I got to spend a lot of time with my niece when she was little because they were living in my parent's house.  That was a lot of fun and I think really contributed to me having such a strong bond with them both now.
    6. Bonus: PIP a picture of you as a pre-teen/teenager.
I was just thinking this morning about how my parents didn't really take a lot of pictures of me when I was older.  I think almost all the pictures that my mom had/has of me is from my younger childhood.  I also think that a lot of those photos got "misplaced" when my parents got divorced.  Some of them may be with my mom or dad in Florida but I bet a lot of them got thrown away  CryingSo the bad news for you guys is that I don't have any pictures to post.

  • 1. What posters/pictures did you have hanging on your walls? I didn't have any posters-- and we moved when I was 12 and I never really decorated my new room. I had a big collage from all my friends I left in Maine. 2. What ridiculous trend did you follow? Crimped hair at points... not really sure though. 3. What was your favorite band/singer? NKOTB and then Boys 2 Men 4. Who was your BFF do you talk to that person today? My childhood best friend and I still talk on a regular basis. We lost touch for a few years here and there but reconnected about 5 years ago and it's so awesome. Our husbands like each other and I just love everything about being in touch with her. 5.  Favorite Memory from this time in your life? Honestly- 11/12 was a stressful year because I found out we were moving to MA and it was very bittersweet for me. I'm having a hard time remembering anything right now!  6. Bonus: PIP a picture of you as a pre-teen/teenager. Don't have any on me! Thankfully...

  • 1. What posters/pictures did you have hanging on your walls? Oh geez, I don't know that I remember!  Probably NKOTB, I think the guys from Saved by the Bell (though I never watched the show once) 2. What ridiculous trend did you follow? Parachute pants, hypercolor t-shirts, scrunchies, crimped hair, wearing two pairs of neon socks together with my pants pegged, and the infamous puffball wall of bangs.  (The higher you got your bangs, the skankier you were, so I kept mine to a low poof of hideous.) 3. What was your favorite band/singer? Loved Debbie Gibson,  Amy Grant, Paula Abdul and New Kids 4. Who was your BFF do you talk to that person today? Liz K. who lived around the corner from me and was far more popular.  She and I are FB friends and we keep saying we should get together with our kids sometime.  We became less of friends in high school- not in a bad way, just in a different interests way. 5.  Favorite Memory from this time in your life? DORK ALERT!  Doing Odyssey of the Mind competitions 6. Bonus: PIP a picture of you as a pre-teen/teenager.  Oh man, aside from not having one handy, I dont' know if I'm that brave.  The pre-teen years were definitely my ugly duckling phase.  Maybe I can find some from 8th grade that aren't too terrible; if you ask for 5th or 6th grade though, there's no way!
