Friday!!! Best and Worst Parts of the Week?

Re: Friday!!! Best and Worst Parts of the Week?
Worst: I am totally freaking sick of being prom advisor, yesterday I was practically driven to tears by parents questioning what I do (even though I have been at this for 6 years). I am just too thin skinned to deal with the criticism. I know it is a silly event, but at our small school this is a BIG deal and I get crucified for every little thing.
Worst: I think I have to look for a new job. With gas prices they way they are and my 52 mile each way commute, our monthly budget has taken a huge hit the last few months. This really sucks because teaching jobs around here are few and far between and many new teachers get cut after their first year during budget cuts.
Best: My nephew came home from the hospital on Monday and we are having dinner at their house tonight so I get to see him.
Best (I have to have at least two to balance out the bad, but its been an AWFUL week): Ken's grandpa gave us tons of support when we told him we decided not to go on the family Hawaii trip. He basically said everything we were thinking and told us we have our whole lives to go on vacation and we need to worry about our house and family now. That made us feel really good.
Best: Brian had an incredible interview on Monday and they actually scheduled him for the final round (this coming Monday) on the spot. That means he is in the final two for a job that is literally 5 minutes with lights from home as opposed to his current 2 hour or so commute to Boston and back.
Best: Mom is ok. She is actually planning to visit from Japan in a few weeks. We will be going dress shopping with my sister for her wedding gown
Worst: My dad came home yesterday to find my grandmother covered in blood. He took her to the dr and she needed 8 stitches in her lip and has one whole side of her face bruised, including a huge swollen black eye. When he asked what happened, she had no idea. She can't remember anything and today when i saw her, she forgot she had hurt herself. She thinks the dog kicked her last night and that is why she is sore and bruised...ummm no. Most likely she fell but with the on-set of alzeimer's she has no idea what occured.
Best: Tomorrow I'm getting my hair highlighted and cut AND going for a mani and pedi.
Best: Chris and I have had a really fun week. We always get along, but we seemed to giggle more this week.
Worst: Work's been crazy busy.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermMy best is also my worst this week:
DH got his raise (yay!) but it isn't even half of what he had hoped for, so he is going to start putting out his resume and looking for another job that will value him more. I hate it because he has been busting his butt for the company and working so hard. I am so grateful he has a job, especially since my job barely would cover our monthly food bill, much less anything else, but he is starting to hate his job. We will probably be looking closer to his family, which means moving again which I have a ton of mixed feelings about, but that is for another post.
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope tomorrow is a better day for her. My grandmother has alzheimers dementia for several years now and it's so sad to see it progress.
Best: Seeing my best friends 23 week sonogram. She's had two miscarriages in the past, one at 19 weeks and one at 21 weeks, so the fact that she's made it to 23 weeks is a miracle, and on Tuesday at her 23 week appointment, the doctor said the baby is nice and chubby and everything looks perfect. Fingers crossed!
Worst: I've just been really annoyed with Jason this week and haven't felt like I've conneted with him at all. I've been a total b*tch too which doesn't help anything; hopefully this weekend we'll get back in our groove.
Worst - (first because it has consumed our week) - we had two plumbing issues pop up in our house in one day. They were unrelated. One cost $199 to fix, the other requires us to basically bust out our entire kitchen in order to fix. So we are currently living with no water in our kitchen or laundry room (which means I can't do laundry, we can't cook at home, can't wash dishes, etc.).
Best - My husband has been really great this week considering the issue, and isn't letting it get to him the way I am...makes it much easier to deal with since he's being so optimistic and supportive. Is it pregnancy hormones that are making me cry every time I talk/write about it?????
Another best - Since Chris played softball last night, I went to my parents' house to eat dinner and do laundry. It was nice hanging out with them (even though my dad told me my butt is getting wider...he's brutally honest!). Mom and I stayed up until 11 talking, which is unheard of for us!
ETA (now that I know what this means - ha!) - One more best to outweigh the really bad worst - Chris has felt Carter kick before, but he actually got to feel his foot or knee (still can't figure out what it is) run across my belly yesterday morning. I've been waiting for him to feel this, but Carter always quits moving when someone else touches my belly. So it was really awesome that he got to feel something more than a thump finally!
And...I'm off to get donuts...which always makes for a good day, right???
