NER: Which TV Show Should I Netflix Next?
I loved watching Big Love on DVD. Now I need something else. I'm trying to pick between:
(1) The Tudors
or
(2) Mad Men
I'm on the cheapest plan and I only get 2 DVDs per month so I can't really simultaneously watch both. Which one should I start with?
Thanks for your suggestions.
Re: NER: Which TV Show Should I Netflix Next?
Mad Men, most def.
I've heard lukewarm things about the Tudors.
Dexter and Weeds are also excellent.
Mad Men!!!!
To be fair, I havent watched the Tudors and that Jonathon Rhys Myer or whatever his name is looks freakily like an ex that was an ass, so I have a hard time watching anything with him in it.
I've seen both and definitely prefer The Tudors.
If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend Arrested Development. I've watched the first two DVDs from the first season and literally was crying from laughing so hard. It's absurdist humor a la Monty Python, The Office, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Mad Men! I thought the Tudors was pretty boring and only got through the first two disks. Every episode was the same, and the only thing that got me through was hoping for good sex scenes.
But ditto IIOY on Arrested Development.
I've seen rumors of its return in 2009.
I haven't watched The Tudors, but Mad Men was really good. I also suggest The Wire, Six Feet Under, and Friday Night Lights.
I haven't seen either, but am thinking Mad Men should go on my list.
Californication is awesome, if you haven't seen it.
Mad Men all the way. ?I also really liked watching Friday Night Lights and Dexter on DVD.
Have you seen the British version of The Office (the original)? ?It is awesome!
Good to see so many AD fans on here. ?Never Nude!?
Mad Men!! ?I, too, love AD.
We never even got through the first season of The Tudors. ?I wouldn't recommend it.?
ETA: And I'm a big history dork, so that really lets you know how not good it is.?
