Chest bump to you Friday

TGIF!

I did buttpunk nothing last night. I read, ate, and watched TV.

Looking forward to some lovely weather days next week. I'm also back in the saddle for eating well/regular gym routine next week.

Nothing going on tonight besides making a nice dinner and some hausfrauing.

Saturday I'm distributing fliers for Relay in South Philly, getting my nails and hair did, and heading to North Jerz to my bff's house with two other friends. We're going out to see a band.

Sunday I'd like to be home early and get some stuff done around the house/in the yard.

Re: Chest bump to you Friday

  • DH and I jumped MIL's car last night, then she took us to dinner @Qdoba.  Since finding something healthy to eat there was giving me a headache, I ate my usual fatty nachos.  They were amazing.  I felt like a guilty glutton, but it was outweighed by how happy I was to actually be full from a meal.

Tonight is our vendors' open house at Coors Field.  I'm excited to see where we'll be and how they will have it laid out.  There's an open bar, apps, givewaway, raffles, prizes, and a fashion show.  I can't imagine it would be on the baseball field, but you never know.  DH and I are taking my bestie and her husband, it will be a fun night w/ friends.

Tomorrow is my MOH's DS's 1st bday.  Can't wait to see him dive into his football shaped cake.  Need to go shopping in the morning for his gift, go tanning, then to his parteeee.

I belive Sunday will be a big ball of laziness.

PS-some girl just came in to interview for our mailroom position wearing open toe hooker heels, jeans and a studded black biker hoodie.  Gosh, I hope we hire her...

Yes, my name is Misty and I'm a judgemental a-hole.

  • So this morning, I woke up with a craving for chocolate milk. I stopped by a convenience store on my way into work and picked up some chocolate milk. Drank said chocolate milk while eating my oatmeal. Now my stomach feels like EEEEWWW.

I was really wasted last night. I only had three glasses of wine and I was REALLY loopy. H let me eat a small cocktail shrimp ring for dinner because they were half off at the chopper. I was super excited about that. AND because a small shrimp ring has less than 400 calories. I also baked some more cookies (well put some more cookies in the oven cause I made the dough on sunday and put most of it in the fridge).

I am surprisingly not hungover for how drunk I was last night.  Roof will be done today. The color I picked looks great. H is grilling up some steak tonight, so I'm excited about that.

The fam is coming up this weekend as an early birthday celebration. We're going to (surprise!) a hockey game. Maybe on Sunday, I'll plant some flowers. Maybe I'll wait a weekend though, just to make sure the cold weather does not come back.

Do those count as open toe hooker heels? Cause I wear those to work all the time. 4.5 inches, woo!

  • Morning all. I have to work today 1-9ish. It's probably going to be crazy busy b/c I'll be waitressing alone, but I do get a dishwasher to help so that'll be nice. :) FIL is probably coming to stay at our house this weekend. Not a bad thing, since we haven't seen him since like Christmas, but I actually get Saturday AND the weather is supposed to be 70's and sunny, which e haven't seen as of yet and rather than try to entertain FIL, I want to make the most of it. Sorry, run on sentence much? I'm seriously so excited for Saturday it's not even funny. :)

  • Unless they were heels with a 3 inch platform-eh whatever, but the jeans and jacket?

Watched AI last night (being from a farm community AI always comes across as artificial insemination to me). Practiced our baby making then regretted it because E was up 3 times for no apparent reason, except 230am when her baby wanted some fruit snacks?

Working today with some super duper snatchy coworkers who don't like to work but would rather sit around and order stomach shrinkers for after said coworkers baby is born even though she doesn't look preggo and she's 5 months and 120 lbs...

    oooo and ITS FRIDAY!

  • jessie, i am laughing at E wanting fruit snacks for her baby at 2:30 am :)

    holy.hell.in.a.handbasket.

i am usually done with work at 4.  last night, i had arranged for 7 colleagues to fly in over various times last night.  i booked their flights, arranged their ground transportation, etc.  it took days to arrange it.  right at 4, i started getting phone calls that all of these flights were cancelled.  of 7 people, 6 flights were cancelled or delayed.  between talking to the colleagues, the airlines, the limo driver, the bus service, the rental car service, the taxi service, and the hotel, i was on the phone NON-STOP from 4pm-11pm.  non.stop.  sometimes 2 or 3 phones at once.

then i had to be in at work at 7 am today to start prepping for the conference that said colleagues were flying to.  i have been going non-stop since 7.  and i will be here until 6:30.

and tomorrow it is prep alllll day for the party we are hosting tomorrow night for my cousin.  im already tired!

i said i wasnt going to drink tonight.  i immediately take that back ;)

  • It really is Friday right? This isn't some evil joke or anything? This has honestly been the longest week EVER.

Tom's parents came to visit last night and we went out to dinner. I got 2 crab cakes for dinner and now have the other one for lunch. I'm rather excited about that.

I'm secretly hoping that when I get home today Tom will have cleaned the apartment. Since my birthday is Sunday, it'd be a great present. And I have NO plans for the weekend other than a birthday pedicure. I'm insanely excited to be lazy.

  • I'm glad it's Friday.

This morning I got really upset with Jeff and now I'm just a big emotional wreck.  Part of me is still upset about the issue, another feels like shiit for bringing it up and making him feel bad, and another part just feels like a whiny baby.  It was one of those stupid things that isn't really his fault, but feelings are feelings and I was feeling shat upon.  He and I were talking through it on IM, but I just want to cry.  This is ridiculous, it's like how I used to get when I had PMS - irrationally weepy about dumb crap.  This day has barely begun and I want to go home.

My co-workers wanted to go out for happy hour after work to celebrate the fact that I passed my quals, but I'm really not feeling it at all.  Doesn't help that Jeff can't/won't leave work early (what else is new?) to join us.

Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer.  On a happier note, it's supposed to get warmer soon!

  • Morning!  I am still on a cloud from yesterday's fabulous acceptance news!  DH has been crazy busy at work - he's on-call this entire week and next and comes home grumpy and tired and gets called by patients and the ER all night - awesome.

He wanted to relax and sleep in all weekend - but we have 8 million errands to run and people that we are supposed to visit!  FIL also wants to take us out for a celebratory dinner on Sunday.  Busy weekend ahead and I feel a little bad for DH - he's right back on service next week.

  • TGIF!  Yesterday I was a complete emotional mess.  Today I am feeling optimistic and am hoping that everything works out.  It's only 8:00 am and my contacts are already dry from all the crying yesterday, thank goodness I brought a bottle of saline solution with me to work.

We're planning on having a yard sale tomorrow.  We really need to get rid of a lot of junk.  Whatever doesn't get sold will go to the Good Will.  I also have my training on Sunday, but since April is volunteer appreciation we are getting a catered dinner.  Woo Hoo!

I really need a drink!  Wednesday we did happy hour at Chevy's and I had their blood orange margarita.  OMG it was so good, and the bartender made them just they way I like em...strong.  I only had two because one more would have put me over.

    Fourth Anniversary

Good morning!  Whew, I'm glad it's Friday.  I've got a long meeting today, but other than that, it should be pretty easy.  Looking forward to getting my hair cut tomorrow, then vegging the rest of the weekend.

Debdeb, we've got our community yard sale coming up in a few weeks, and we're ridiculously excited to get rid of stuff.  We've got stuff from combining two households, and then the wedding gift upgrades.  For example, I've got two blenders to get rid of!  Yikes.

Jessie, that's such a funny story!  Did E get her baby's fruit snacks?  Inquiring minds, and all.  I know that's coming for us, but sheesh, I'm not sure how we'll handle it.

Nichole, yay, happy birthday!  I hope you come home to a clean house.  And yum, I want crab cakes now.  I was just reading a magazine this morning while blowdrying, and they had this feature on crab cakes that was already making me want to try to make them.

  • Happy Birthday Nichole!

Hi ladies! I've been MIA the past couple of days. We decided to make Six Flags a two day trip so I've been non stop at the theme park the past two days. My nieces are still a little short to ride most of the more exciting roller coasters so we didn't ride too many of those. However, yesterday my four year old niece rode the sky coaster with me. (I hope someone knows what this is). It goes 175 ft in the air and you pull a cord and then swing through the air. I love that ride and so does she, now. And there was no pigging out with ridiculously expensive theme park food. Picnic lunches with fruits on a blanket by the car. It was perfect and the weather was amazing!

On other news, Jeremy came back home around 9 this morning and told me he's been laid off due to lack of work. Never seen the man cry before. We both know it wasn't anything he did but rather the new system they've incorporated but it still sucks.

We're going to Albany this weekend for him to play in a tennis tournament. He's practiced well all week so I hope this unemployment thing doesn't affect him tomorrow.

  • Happy early birthday Nichole!

Well my brother and his FI were supposed to visit, but they changed their plans and have decided not to visit. :( Although now I hopefully finish painting our dining room and not worry about the huge mess it will make of our living room. Today I also have to work on repotting some of my seedlings.

Saturday night I am bartending for a huge party that is being held at the restaurant I work at. It should be a ton of fun and I already know I will make good money, always a plus.

Baby did not get fruit snacks at 230am :-) You will learn your own tricks as you go and you will constantly get curve balls thrown at you and you will learn to go with the flow and not go by the book or what mom said. That was a lot of "and you".

  • Thank gosh it's Friday, I feel like this week has dragged on and on.

I have no real plans this weekend. I am going to try to spend time with H on saturday night and sunday because he leaves Wednesday of next week and won't be home until sunday for his brother bachelor coast fishing trip thing. I feel like since we got married I really hate to spend time that long away from him. I never used to be like that.

I really want to get some good cleaning done this weekend. It has been so hot here this week (high 80's to low 90's) and I want to clean and open the doors and windows but you can't with the heat and humidity. It's so humid all my fly away hairs are going crazy.

Too funny.  She's such an adorable little girl.

MH was apparently a tough baby, but then an easy toddler and kid.  His sister was the opposite.  I'm not even sure which to wish for!

  • Mush Im hoping for an easy baby for you! E was awesome! and it helped that I was a single mom, she STTN at 4 weeks and only woke up once a night from day one, she ate like a champ, slept whereever we were and rarely cried.
