Let's do five aspirations. One you have already completed (and are proud of!) and four you want to complete in the future - near future or way distant future, both are fine.
1. Buy a house - done in July of 2008
2. Run a half marathon, then a full.
3. Finish my bachelor's degree. Working on it right now.
4. Go to Africa on safari. Wanted it for the HM but DH said I was crazy and it was expensive. Maybe when we retire.
5. Get my children through college without them having to work full time or take on debt, letting them have the true college experience.

3. Tour Europe, as much of it as possible, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, Scotland, Ireland, etc
4. Finish my bachelor's degree-also working on it, just at a slow pace!
5. Find my "career"-it may be at my current company just not my current position. I think once I finish my degree a lot more opportunity will open for me.
Already did:
1. Paid off the first car that I can call 'mine'
Want to do:
2. Run a 5k (aiming for a Mud Run in early June)
3. Buy a house (hopefully October)
4. Get my certification for Meeting Professionals (testing in July)
5. Take a train across Europe
I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?
Already did:
1. Run a full marathon - The Big D on April 14, 2010 Time 5:44:45
Want to do:
2. Renovate our home and have it complete within 1 1/2 years. That sounds like a long time, but I'm talking walls are coming down!
3. Go to Ireland to see my Irish heritage within 2 years
4. Lose 20 pounds
5. Start going to church again. I've been bad about it since I've moved to Dallas (10 years ago!!!!) and I want to find a church I like and become a member.
1. Find a job- I got my job (after being UE for 1.5 years) last year August, which is the reason we have moved to DFW area.
2. Buy a house without selling our old house.
3. Buy a new to me car/suv. I am lusting after a Land Rover LR3 or LR4
4. Lose 15 lbs. (So far I have lost 5 lbs, still need to lose 10lbs.)
1. get a masters in educational technology.
2. move to College Station (yes, seriously).
3. spend one month straight in Rome.
4. do whatever it takes to get my brother a college degree (yes, even if it means paying for it myself).
5. write a book.
1. Payoff all our debt
2. Buy a House
3. Get an MBA
4. Travel
5. Get Pregnant
Already Did:
1. Bought a House in March
Want to Do:
1. Find a rewarding career that really challenges me. My job is fantastic but it isn't challenging.
2. Spend two consecutive weeks in Europe. I would spent the majority of it in Italy.
3. Be more community involved, volunteering, etc.
4. Eat Right... ALL the time.
5. Run another 5k. I've slacked on my running (read: not done it at all hardly) since November and want to do this again.
I have a few that I've already done:
1. Run a marathon - Chicago in 2006
2. Have a successful career - this is in progress. I'm so happy with how my career has gone in the forst 10 years. Hopefully I can continue to be happy, challenged and successful in this role.
What I want to do:
1. Start a family, have healthy, happy, non-bratty kids.
2. lose all the weight I've gained since running my last marathon.
3. Find a way to balance my current career with family once I have kids. I don't want to be the mom that works all the time.
Michelle & Michael
Married - August '10
TTC - Since September 2011
Hmm...
Done:
1. Pay off my car.
What I want to do:
1. Start eating healthy and work out/meditate more.
2. Travel more (which is hard to do when you hate flying!)
3. Obtain a CFP designation (which I'm working on)
ETA: Oh, I was supposed to have five.
4. Call me crazy (Summer), but I would like to run a 5k
5. Pay off our student loans as early as possible! They are sooo expensive.
1. Buy a house- October 2010
2. Buy a 2nd car
3. Pay off my student loan in less than the time allotted (I think 20 years or something crazy). I would have liked to have paid this off yesterday but not possible right now.
4. Do a big loop of the east coast on Amtrak before we start trying for a family.
5. Start a regular work out routine soon and get our eating more in check (we will be working on the room this weekend. I'd really like to cover up the UT orange and yellowy-beige walls but I don't want to spend money on paint right now.)
Well, this would have been my first priority. In fact, I might not have even bought the house.
Haha - I have to agree with Julie on this one. I probably would not have even bought the house. If I just had to have the house, it would have been painted before I moved in.
I really wanted to repaint everything but that is not how it worked out
But then you have to decide what color you want and I can't make up my mind.
This is extremely difficult. I feel that everything in our house is either red and yellow/gold (one bathroom and kitchen and bedroom) or aqua and chocolate (other bathroom and living room).
Graduate college, and marry DH. I know, that's two.
1. Travel to as many countries and continents as possible. UK and France-CHECK! So much more to see.
2. Graduate from nursing school and be in a career that I'm passionate about and love. I know I'll get there, it'll just be a hard road.
3. Become a mother. One day. In the far, far, far future.
4. Sky dive!
I have a big obsession with those two colors. I have to try real hard not to have our entire house in this color combo.
We have a beige couch and a beige chair, so I'm trying to work on pops of color. So, we are looking at pillows for the couch. DH picks out these gray and oatmeal colored pillows and says, "Oh, I really lilke these.". Yes, Honey, they sure would match our beige, blah living room. Ha!
I am working on other colors right now. We have a red rug. See, color.
My problem is that, though I love him, Bill has no sense of what goes together. And, if it comes in black or brown, he will try to buy it.
Already Completed
1. Finished my career goal to be a Acute care nurse practitioner
To be completed
2. Buy or Build our first house as a couple - Hope to do this by the end of the year
3. Run a 5K - On week 3 of Couch to 5K
4. Have Children - Hopefully by the end of 2012, since I am getting old
5. Retire at a decent age and enjoy traveling with my DH.
My DH is colorblind. He accused me of trying to make him buy a pink bed spread when we were dating...it was khaki.
LMAO. This is funny. We bought ours and repainted and replaced the carpet with wood flooring before we moved in. Thankfully, we mostly liked the colors they had... so we just had them matched.
I saved the bathroom for last, and, while I did paint it this past weekend/week.... I regretted not doing it before all our stuff was in there.
1. Get into PA school. Already in and almost done with the 1st year.
2. Buy a house
3. Go to Italy
4. I want DH to have a job that he loves
5. Pay off all our student loans as fast as possible.
