Tonight: probably grab dinner somewhere...
Saturday: clean, FINALLY review our wedding album layout with photographer, take Jackson somewhere for a long walk, babysit our neice (for the first time...I'm so nervous)
Sunday: get up super early and head to DC with Jackson to walk around the mall/monuments/tidal basin, and depending on when we get back...head to my parent's to design the 'parent's album' on one of the many photobooks websites with my mom for her mother's day gift. (nothing like waiting a year and a half)
re: babysitting. You'll do great!!! I am afraid to babysit too, which is weird because I was fine with it when I was 14. Also, it seems like something I should get over considering we're about to be parents!
re: parents album. I gave my mom and MIL theirs last week (aka 2.5 years after our wedding). I promised it before my baby shower and I delivered
I enjoyed babysitting when I was 14, but never babysat for actual babies. I love our neice, but being alone with her makes me nervous. Luckily, DH absolutely adores her and is great with her. Still really really scared and told my sister that 'mom better be on call'. But thanks for the vote of confidence - I'll let you know how it goes.
Parent's album - IL's got their for x-mas right after we got married, but since my mom wanted to be part of the designing, we never really got our act together to do it. We still don't have our album - hopefully by the end of the summer it'll be done since we're going to review the design tomorrow. Such a slacker!!
When was/is your shower? yay!! Is R able to come home for it?
Re: **SK**
Come to think of it, I think the youngest baby I watched was 10 months old and that did make me a little nervous at the time (it was 13 years ago though). But I figure it's just one of those things that you have to get used to. Right?! Haha, you'll do great, and you have R to help you!
We still don't have our own album. I avoided contact with our photog for so long because I hate him, but I finally gave in because he had our pics and I needed to buy the rights from him before I did any albums. So I finally got the rights and laid out the albums for our parents (who had long ago picked out which pics they wanted) and those came in about 2 weeks ago. I used Picaboo for their albums and they came out great. I will probably use Picaboo for our own album (someday) because they have a flush mount option too.
My shower was last weekend!! It was SO much fun! My mom, R, and my SIL hosted at my parents' house and it was great
As soon as someone sends me the pics they took, I will post them on FB.
Now switching gears to R's wedding - I'm co-hosting her shower (also at my parents' house) in 3 weeks!!

I haven't used Picaboo before - I'll have to take a look. I think I used Shutterfly for IL's album and my b-pics. Is it easy to use?
Glad to hear you had a good shower. And please post pics soon.
How's R doing? I can't believe she's getting married so soon. That's crazy. Can't wait to see those pics either. That shower will be fun. I might have to stop by your parent's house that day.
Picaboo was easy to use. You download a free program and design the book through their program. I have used Shutterfly albums for b-pics and other things and I really like their albums too, but I was looking for something slightly more fancy for the parent albums (picky parents!) and Picaboo had more of a range of options. Plus I got a Groupon
R is good. All her planning is going well! All vendors booked, dresses ordered, etc. I don't know what we're all going to do after the baby is born and R's wedding is over - relax I guess! This Spring has been so busy!! I'm excited for her shower though - it will be great!
