What are your fav/best group games?
I'm having some folks over for pizza/game night. What games should we play???
(guess I should have thought of this earlier.... oops)
Re: What are your fav/best group games?
Apples to Apples
Sequence!!!!!
Ditto Apples to Apples.
If you dont want to go out and buy a game, we like to play Celebrity.

We always play the extended version where you do round 1 like normal. Then round 2 where you can only speak one word. Round 3 is charades.
Its especially fun when you get people who put in names from things other than pop culture.

Empire! It's kind of like Celebrity. Everyone writes down the name of a famous person (it can be pop culture or historical) and you pick one person to read off the names. You can only hear the names once so you have to remember the names. There are no clues given so you have to think about which person would be which famous person. You would ask "Sally, are you Amy Adams?" and if she says yes she joins your empire (she sits by you). If she says "no' you just go to the next person. You can talk over who may be which famous person as your empire grows. The person with the most people in their empire wins.
That was probably as clear as mud but it's a fun game.
Apples to Apples
Cranium
And my new favorite is Settlers of Catan.
I played Catchphrase last night. That was really fun too!
And I think pictionary is always a good group game!
Apples to Apples and Catchphrase...love both of them!
I also like a good, rousing game of Spoons...always brings back silly memories and when you get adults to play it's hilarious!
