I realized a few blocks from the train that I forgot my lunch today, rather than walking back in the rain and being late to work, I decided I'll just by my lunch.
There's a new place in my building and one of their apps is goat cheese w/marinara and bread. Do you think the goat cheese would be too rich to eat it all myself as my lunch?
Lol, I warned this was random.

Mmm, good! I was nervous it may be too rich, but I'm salivating just thinking about it!!
Now I just have to call to see if I can do a carry-out order since it's a sit-down kinda place.

I'm confused by the question. Personally, I can eat goat cheese at any time of day with no problems. But I think I get what you mean. I can't handle chocolate and sweet things in the morning for breakfast (especially sugary cereals, poptarts, etc), so I have a sweetness parameter. Do you normally have a richness parameter for your lunch? I guess you'll have to answer that question yourself.
But Xan, to answer your question, it was awesome!! Served warm w/marinara and I think the marinara helped tone it down so it wasn't too rich. Great lunch, too bad it's double the cost of a sub (I usually get Potbellys if I forget my lunch).
Goat cheese is good and I've only had it a handful of times b/c it's expensive (to me anyhow, like $6 at the grocery store). Even just with Ritz crackers it tastes great.

I think I've mentioned this on here before, but since you're about to get a new grill, I'll post it again...
Grill some chicken, add goat cheese on top of each breast, then a slice of tomato, then some basil (I usually chiffonade it). It is amazing!

Sure! I would recommend breaking in the new grill with this one - it's that good! Well, maybe after you cook some steaks...
Chiffonade is when you take a stack of basil leaves, roll them up, and then slice them to make shreds, basically, of basil. This is probably a better explanation...
It's just an easy way to cut it. I do the same thing when I make caprese salad, or pretty much anything else I use fresh basil for...
