Are you doing this or have you been? www.divadash.com
My bff is coming to town tonight and she's competing in it tomorrow. I'm not competing but I'm going to watch and support her. It looks like they're going to have music and vendors but I'm not excited about waiting around alone while she races. If you don't have anything to do tomorrow, let me know and you can come watch with me.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone had any experience with this. I don't know how long the race lasts or if I'll even be able to watch the whole thing.

Re: Diva Dash
A friend of mine is doing it, and I think she's participated in it (or something similar) in the past. She's totally excited about it; I wish I could go watch!
Based on my race watching/cheering/support experience, I'd guess the race would last about an hour or so. I think (if I remember correctly), it's 3 miles with lots of obstacles. Participants start in waves, like a group starts at 9, the next group starts 15 minutes later, etc. That way, they're not in a huge crowd trying to get through the course! I don't know if the course is circular (like, you could see your friend start and finish in the same place), or if the finish is in a different area. If I were you, I'd hang around at the finish. It's fun to see people at the end, and I'm guessing there will be a crowd cheering so you won't feel like you're totally alone.
Have fun!

I'm doing it! (Pray for me, I haven't worked out in weeks!)
Like pp said, not too sure how the course is laid out, but it is a 3 mile run, with some sort of obstacle every half mile. Should be interesting!

Thanks for the tips, Guava. Guess I'll just people watch and wait at the finish line. I kind of wish I were doing it now. It seems interesting.
