Unpopular Opinion Thursday
Re: Unpopular Opinion Thursday
Well you sip that haterade! I am soooo bored. Lol.
sluuuuuurrrrrrrpppppp
I'm no XS, either, but I have noticed that there seem to always be lots of XS on the clearance racks at Target and Old Navy. I got a ton of cute maternity clothes from the clearance racks at Target in particular, so that might not be a bad place to look if you haven't already. Gap also has really cute maternity stuff online. That's where I got all of my work pants when I was pregnant with DS.
I still get sick in the morning, but it only lasts 5 minutes or so. I bought some pants at Macy's last weekend and looked around at the other stores. A lot of it is very casual and not things I would normally wear to work.
We won't find out the gender until mid-may. but we do want to know.
I am cranky today. It is usually not that bad. I just want sleep.
Whoa, now. Let's not be calling ourselves that. Your body is doing what it is supposed to, be gentle with yourself.
I am not liking the color scheme for the outlet mall. I thought they would have gone more traditional looking like really nice brick buildings. The color combonations look pretty tacky to me. I'm really hoping it will look a lot better when it is completed.
Me too! And, I am worried it will not stay nice. I work right in that area off of Council and there are some not so nice things that go on over here that I have heard of. I mean, I am not worried during the day, but right down the street from my office someone was killed due to drug reasons a couple months ago and we have been broke into a few times before I started here. I'll keep my fingers crossed it will help build the area up.
lol. Thanks. It is not the look of getting bigger, it is a feeling when I eat. It is not nausea but when I eat sometimes I feel like I just gorged myself on food even though I didn't eat that much. It is just a gross feeling.
Our house is really dirty. It looks like I'll have tomorrow off, so theoretically I could clean it. I'm not going to. I just don't care.
I know it's no longer Thursday, but I have an unpopular opinion to add....
I absolutely 100% do NOT understand buying souvenirs for other people. For example, when my H and I went to Walt Disney World, his parents asked that we bring them back some souvenirs.
WHY??!! What do you want with a souvenir from a place that you have never been? So you can tell people, 'hey, my son and DIL went to Florida, wanna see what I got?'
We're going to Ireland in May and already we are being expected to get souvenirs for his grandma, his parents, and now that my mom has gotten wind that we will be buying his parents a souvenir, she wants one too! Even a co-worker has asked me to bring her back one (we don't hang out or work closely together or anything).
This drives me absolutely nuts and I do not see any reason to buy someone a souvenir for a place they have never been to. It would just be a waste of money and time (shopping for souvenirs) on our part. Maybe I'm being selfish, but I just don't get it. I don't see how the souvenir would have any value to them except so they can say, 'Hey look for realz this is genuine from Florida/Las Vegas/Ireland/etc'.
....okay rant over lol.....
I'd just get them each a postcard and call it good. Postcards are cheap, take little room to store in your suitcase if you don't get around to mailing them, and are made to be the souvenir for people who didn't actually go on the trip.
When we went to Italy for our honeymoon, H's mom requested some Venetian glass jewelry, and we happily obliged (and we were paid back). She had been before, and bought some that she liked, and wanted more, if possible. I also bought her a cameo. I bought my sister an inlaid wood box, and my mom a Venetian glass clock. I just thought they were unique, and they weren't something I found here. They never really asked for anything in particular, but I just gave them as gifts.
I do agree that asking for souvenirs is a little strange, though, but I find that you can get very unique things for people that are something they would like, not a Honduras strappy tank, if you just shop well.
