Happy Friday!

And a very happy one, indeed! In 24 hours, MIL will be on the plane and I'll have my DH home! Woot!

Saturday, we're going to a picnic hosted by the Interior Design Club I used to be an advisor for. Everyone is looking forward to meeting Margot :) Other than that, my only plans are to family time and to get my mess of a house back in order - its a disaster from MIL.

What is everyone else up to?

Re: Happy Friday!

  • YAY for MIL being gone tomorrow!!! I am so thrilled for you!!

Tonight, we'll probably hang in. Considering I am still recovering, albeit on the upswing...

I want to at the very least go for walks this weekend. I feel like a lump. I haven't worked out/walked/exercised in a week. Waaa. Pity party for one. Weather is supposed to be 55-65 all weekend and sunny. I cannot wait. Finally.

Tomorrow night we're invited to a friends birthday party in a bar downtown. Yeaaaaah....not so sure I want to go yet. It's on the early side, but still...drunk people+ pregnant woman= people touching my belly and me gutting them.

Sunday, I really would like to get H (or me, whatever) to pick up some flowers/pansies for the porch and decorate and jazz up the yard/porch a bit...

  • We're keeping it low key this weekend. I hope.

No real plans tonight. Tomorrow, I'm headed to OKC to do some shopping and meet my mom. I left a ridiculous amount of stuff at my parents' house last weekend [phone charger, 3/4 of JJ's clothes and shoes, all of his toys...], so my mom's meeting me to drop them off. I'm hoping the Commissary is open so I can do some grocery shopping, but the government shutdown may rule that one out.

Sunday will be quiet. I think JJ and I will go for a walk, if it's not too hot. I'm looking forward to doing NOTHING except spending time with him.

  • Tonight - spending some quality time with DH.  It's been a rough few days for us (not fighting but just frustrated with the whole IF thing).  Emotional to say the least.

Tomorrow, I'll work on some grad work.

Sunday, church and going to my mom's to make graduation announcements and return some pants she bought me that didn't fit.  Enjoying some mom time to fill her in on everything.

    Beta's 11, 14, 57, 637, 2800
Sono showed no baby and teeny tiny sac. Waiting to M/C naturally.

  • Might go with E to a beer event tomorrow night. Other than that, mostly trial prep for my first solo civil trial which starts Monday. And on Sunday is the MS Walk again. If anyone's inclined to sponsor me, I posted the link on my FB.
  • Today DH & I are going to pick out the granite slab for the kitchen!  We are leaving Robert for the first time with my parents.  No kids allowed in the granite yard!

Tomorrow the contractors are coming back to finish putting up the walls in the kitchen since we passed all our inspections.

Sunday I may try and attempt making it to church.  We will see!

  • It's a busy one for us. Rodgers is working 14 hours today, but he might get to come home a little early, which will be nice. Usually if he works more than his shift, they let him come home as soon as all the residents are in bed for the night. So Nate's at the babysitter's all day today, but Rodgers forgot to leave him his cuddles (stuffed monkey and favorite blanket) so I think he's going to have a rough day...

Tomorrow, we have an all day seminar at church, then Rodgers goes to work as soon as it's over.

Sunday, church, then lunch with my sister, BIL, and nephew. We're going out for Chinese. Then Rodgers goes to work, and Nate and I get ready for another week. Hopefully we can be more organized than we were this week.

  • Yay Kristen! Alyssa, I can't believe Robert is over a month old already! My sis, bil, and nephew are coming to visit Sunday. And my mom is coming Sunday to Wednesday, yay! But that also means Ryan goes back to work on Monday, boo. :(
  • Happy Friday ladies!

Yesterday, a small miracle happened.  My boss and I were supposed to both work the whole day together today.  Well, she decided that we would split the day!! So instead of going in at 9, I'm going in at 12:30 and working until 5:30ish.  I'm using the extra time to get ahead on some baking.  Gooey bars and rice krispie treats this morning. Tonight is more baking - cheesecake and cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries.

Tomorrow: Brunch with friends for friend C's birthday.  And!  While we are at brunch, C's husband will be prepping for a surprise party for her! So sweet.  That's what the cheesecake and rice krispie treats are for (those are her two fave desserts).  I have to work at 4pm, but DH is going to another party, and he's taking the cupcakes and gooey bars.

Sunday: no real plans.  We need to clean because my friend is coming to stay with us soon.  And I need to go to Sephora.

Oh, and I think DH has given me his cold.  My head is heavy, and my back and head hurt.  Boo.

  • I am off today ! I went and had my physical this morning ( not my Gyn exam, thats next week ) but I'm nervous that my cholesterol is going to come back high ... Sad I went to Costco this am, picked up two bags of dog food ( because the monstas eat a ton ) and $100 worth of other random goodness. I dropped off the dry cleaning and now I am at Dhs work waitin for him to get out of a meeting then we will go to lunch. But, first I have vanilla cupcakes with Irish buttercream frosting to hand out. I have to go find some pale gold shoes for the wedding we are both part of in May, so I may do that after lunch. Other than, no other plans.
  • We have a pretty quiet weekend planned, but that makes me happy.

At the moment all parents are home from the hospital, so that's one less thing to worry about this weekend.
