anyone ever have food poisioning?

can you let me know the exact symptoms. DH went out to eat w/ a few friends and then out for some drinks. He said he had eaten some sushi which the only kind he has had before was the cooked one. Well come about midnight he calls me up to pick him up bc he wasn't feeling too good. Came home and vomitted and then went to sleep. This morning he woke up and vomitted again but this time it was a yellowish color(sorry tmi) then now its more like just clear foam like. I asked if he drank alot and he said no he wasn't feeling good so he has only had a few drinks. So I was just wondering if he could maybe have gotten food poisioning.

Could be. Food poisoning is just your body reacting to bacteria in something, so it's really very similar to any stomach bug and is usually out of your system within a day or so. Make sure he is getting fluids - as long as he stays hydrated he should be ok. Just keep an eye on him. I hope he's better soon!

DH got food poisoning about a year ago. It started off with severe stomach pains, then he was violently vomiting for almost 12 hours, he had a fever, delirious, etc. It was actually kind of scary, I had never seen him that sick or out of it before, I actually thought his appendix was bursting he was in so much pain so he went to the doctor (which he NEVER does) and the doc confirmed it was food poisoning and had to report the restaurant to the board of health. What your DH has sounds more like just a stomach bug, I think food poisoning would be more severe. Hope he feels better!!

Thanks ladies! I've just never seen him like this. At 1st I was ok he is hung over but then him saying he might want to go to the walk in bc he really isn't feeling good etc. Then that's when he told me he ate the sushi and thinks he got sick off it.

Exactly what Ked said...food poisoning is usually more severe then what you described...Did anyone else eat the same sushi and get sick? Hope it's just a 24 hr. thing for him and he feels better!

Yeah could be - when I had it I suddenly got VERY sick, projectile vomited (like seriously, I swear it went 4 feet - luckily I was facing the shower), laid in bed for a while and then felt better pretty quickly, like within 8 hours or so.

The one time I had it I thought I was going to die. It was coming out both ends and didn't stop for about 10 hours.
