Going to start cardboard cereal, I mean rice cereal
My poor baby is going to start the yucky, bland rice cereal - probably this weekend. She's almost 6 months old and yesterday shoved a piece of challah in her mouth with her fist. So I think we should back up and start with the basics!
I hope she moved thru cereals fast and on to the yummy fruits and veggies soon!
I loved these messy meal days - it's so cute! Very few people's eyes light up for peas past this age - haha!

once my daughter moved on to oatmeal, i stopped rice altogether. she now alternates b/w oatmeal and mixed grain....i had a hard time finding the barley so she has never had it.
I love the messy stage too....and she loves her fruits and veggies!
that's what we did for Ava, but I did need to use the rice to thicken up some homemade purees on occassion.
it's so blah!
That is good to know! We still have a box of the rice...
Rice cereal also comes in handy when they get sick and have diarrhea. Thank goodness we had some left over when little man got sick.
