1 month off BC - TMI for some
And I wanna shoot myself!!!!!! Because of the BC i was on I havent had a period since Oct 08. But DH and I decided in March I would get off of it, to get my body used to what it is supposed to do..
Last week my face looked like a 15 year old girl!
And I was an emotional b1tchy mess!
And then bam Thursday I got it. Yesterday and today I have had the worst cramps. Nothing is working. Havent slept! Heating pads on the whole nine! I always had horrible cramps but I have neverrrrrrrrrrrr had it so heavy before! 3 hours and I am bleeding through a tampon! Really?!?!?
Ughhhhhhhhhhhh I hope its just this bad because this is the first one in a while or else I might have to murder someone!
Guess i am not going far from home tonight like I was supposed to =(

yuck. were you on depo, if you dont mind my asking? when i went off of it thee was all sorts of drama like your describing as well. the good news is it got way better quickly.

I've been off since August when my script ran out. DH and I chose not to continue with my birth control to also get my body used to not having hormones in it. Well for everything was fine except I had a much heavier flow. Now that that has regulated itself I get raging pms. Ugh I don't know which is worse. But the odd thing is the bc I was on in the end made my period insanely unpredictable. Now that I am off I can tell the day I will be getting it. While on Ortho Tri-Cyclen it could vary by a week or two!
It does get better so don't give up hope
I think each month will get better. When I first stopped taking my BC my first period was a friggin nightmare. The next one was a little better, and each one was less and less dramatic. Actually, the same thing happened when I got my first postpardum period so you have that to look forward too also.
The breakouts may also get better, but unfortunatly one of the good side effects of being on BC is it clears up your skin, so you may need to adjust your skincare routine.

Today was a new day, not bleeding as much and little craps.
DH dragged me to dinner last night, but I was glad he did, it was nice to be out since we havent been in a while, even though i felt like a bloated mess! lol
