What time for a 2nd birthday party?
I'm struggling with what time to have my DD's 2nd birthday party. We are inviting a few friends with kids ages 6 months-3 years. DD usually naps at about 11 am, which I think is earlier than most kids her age. I'm thinking most others nap around 1:00. Her birthday is on Easter, so her party will be that Saturday. We hope to have it outside with outdoor activities and maybe and Easter egg hunt.
So WWYD? Go earlier, around 10:00 and have it over by nap time (if she's having fun she'll be fine staying up), or later around 3 or 4 after everyone wakes up from naps?
Re: What time for a 2nd birthday party?
If it's on the Saturday, I wouldn't worry about church conflicts. I would worry about community Easter events, though.
Most events during Easter (at least, around here) are morning events. I think 3:00 p.m. would be best, unless you can move it to another weekend. Moving it might be your best bet, since Easter weekend is two weeks away, and it's likely many people already have plans for both days.

As a mom who is also planning the 2yo celebrations, I say early morning. Approx 9:30a and have it go for 2 hours MAX.
The only reason I think 930 is best, the party is over by 1130a...and then you could get a good nap in! If you do a late afternoon (330+), you may run into difficulty if your LO skips his/her nap or doesn't have a good nap.
