what is the last book you read?
Or, what are you reading right now?
Re: what is the last book you read?
I just finished reading The Others/Little Bee. I did not like it at all.
Before that I read The Help and liked it a lot.
Last book I read was Anne of Avonlea.
Now I'm reading The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.
This week I have read "Think Twice" by Lisa Scottoline (bad) and "Change of Heart" by Jodi Piccoult (decent). I am in the middle of "The Lincoln Lawyer" by Michael Connelly (great, but too dark to read at bedtime) and "Demonglass" by Rachel Hawkins.
I have "Wolf Hall" sitting on my bedside table, waiting for me ...
LOVE.
I passed my copy around so much that it is gone. I feel like it's a donation to the universe.
How funny! I just downloaded the Frugal American Housewife book from the same author. Crazy!
It's funny, I read it after seeing the first three seasons of Big Love and realized that the show's writers must have read the book for research because there were so many parallels that could not just be coincidental...
thanks for all the recs.
I'm a huge big love fan...so defnitely going to check out Under the Banner of Heaven now.
I'm reading Grave Surprise right now...just finished the Hunger Games trilogy last week and also read the short second life of bree tanner this week.
Just read 'Love, Sex &Kids' by Casy Treat. If you are a Christian, it's a must read.
Currently reading 'The Addictive Personality' by Craig Nakken, which is a great book for anyone who knows an addict, it'll help give you a better understanding of the addict you know.
I am also about to start delving into 'The Best Oral Sex Ever [Her Guide] to Going Down' by Yvonne K. Fulbright, PhD
What to Expect the First Year.
I got a copy of Water for Elephants from a friend which I want to read before seeing the movie. I guess I better get to that book soon!
I also want to read Sweet Valley Confidential since I used to read the Sweet Valley books during my younger days. Kind of makes me wish that they would do this with the Babysitters Club series.
Just finished Still Alice, about a 50-year-old woman getting early-onset Alzheimer's. Very well done, if somewhat (though not terribly) dark.
And just yesterday started The Ghost Writer, which so far is pretty good.
I just finished The Feast of Roses http://www.amazon.com/Feast-Roses-Novel-Indu-Sundaresan/dp/0743456416 (loved it)
and have started Through Lover's Lane: L.M. Montgomery's Visual Imagination by Elizabeth Epperly. I'm enjoying it but it is very analytical and reminds me of my art history homework.

Jon Krakauer is one of my favorite authors. Although I've yet to make it through Where Men Win Glory (his last book).
The last book I finished was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'd been putting off reading it forever b/c I didn't want the series to end.
The book I'm reading right now (and almost done with) is Mennonite in a Little Black Dress. It's a really cute, non-fiction book and a quick, easy read.

Yep, I'm enjoying the series! I have to request the next one from the library. Trying to finish other books in my pile first.
