How was your weekend, ladies?
Mine absolutely flew by but it was a good one. Wish I'd been outside to enjoy the sunshine more, but oh well.
Friday night we hung out and watched a DVD instead of doing taxes
Saturday was errand day, taxes, and lunch with camedowncrushing (so much fun and so nice to put a face to the screen name! Thanks for coming out, camedown!).
Yesterday I played in two back-to-back volleyball tournaments--about 12 hours of volleyball. Yeah, my body hates me today.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: How was your weekend, ladies?
12 HOURS? Wow!
My weekend also flew by. Saturday I got a new phone and then we went to my mother's for dinner with my sisters. Yesterday we met friend for brunch at Fireside Grille in Middleboro, and it was delicious. The 2 little girls I used to babysit in High School stopped by to meet DS (ok, not so little anymore since they drove themselves, huh?)
Now DH is away all week, which is not fair because he was away last week as well. But DS and zi are planning on enjoying all the good weather we're supposed to have this week!
Friday- DH and I had dinner at Lowell BeerWorks
Saturday- bodypump in the AM and then I went to my parents house and had sushi with my mom, sister and uncle and hung out for a while
Sunday- prenatal yoga, then walked the dog, shopping and lots of housework. I also spent a lot of time hanging outside since it was nice out and chatted with the neighbors for a while. I had a busy day and am a bit sore today!
Friday: Drove from PA to MA, settled into our hotel in Norwood
Saturday: Looked at houses and apartments from 10am to 5pm. Had a great dinner
Sunday: Looked at a couple more houses, drove home to PA, talked about our options on the ride
FWIW, this will be our schedule for next weekend as well
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010

Wow, that almost sounds more exhausting than my 12 hours of volleyball! Hope you saw some things you liked.
I was a complete slug this weekend. We took Jack to the vet on Saturday morning, and that was about the only time we left the house. I did some laundry and thought about cleaning the apartment, but never got to it. I figured I'll be home on Thursday while Jack gets fixed, and I'll be worried, so I'll have plenty of nervous energy to burn off.
It was nice, though. And Rock, I'm tired just thinking about 12 hours of volleyball.
Friday night was nothing exciting - laundry and just some lounging.
Saturday we went up to Portland for the night. Stopped in Kittery at the outlets on our way up, and then just wandered around the city after we got checked in and everything at the hotel. It was so nice and relaxing. We had no plans or agenda which was great. Yesterday we went to the Sea Dogs game for a bit and then headed back.
Too short of a weekend as always.
Mine flew by too, but it was a great weekend!
I had breakfast with my moms group on Friday morning and was invited out to a ladies night Wed, which I am looking forward to.
Friday night we grabbed take out and watched Revolutionary Road (it was so depressing though great to see Kate and Leo reunited on camera).
Saturday was beautiful so we took a walk at one of the local reservations and then looked at some houses (in a new community that has models open and you can go through). I think I know what kind of house I want now.
We said no finalizing our decision to stay here for another year, so we weren't seriously looking, but I loved that community!
Yesterday I had a KILLER headache (there were storms moving in) and took a good nap, then grocery shopped and made pizza-and-wings as a treat for DH
DS slept nearly 12 hours last night. I am dying over this.
The nanny is sick- she thinks with the flu. I am waiting on her to call me when she gets home from the dr to see if I need to scramble for backup childcare all week. Poor girl.
My whole weekend was all about my SIL! Friday was her bachelorette party at Foxwoods! I had never been before and it was such a great time! Saturday I got home late in the afternoon and helped with some last minute things for her shower and then Sunday was the shower! It was a fun weekend and she really had a good time!
I'm ready for another weekend already though!
Yep!
We were locked out of a potential rental on Saturday, but we circled back on Sunday and loved it. If the owner will let us do a 6mo lease, we'll give him a deposit next weekend.
We loved a TH in Walpole (it showed like a model and then some), but after a looooooooong discussion, it just won't work for us. Our front runner is a colonial in Stoughton at an amazing price (which makes us wonder why...).

Stoughton has some really nice areas as well as some less than great areas. But overall, it is significantly less expensive than Walpole, which has a much larger premium to live there. (We're currently house hunting, and are looking in- as well as currently own in- some of the same areas you're looking).
GL! That's great that you found stuff you love so quickly!
Great! Spent most of Saturday walking around the city, ducking in to different bars and such when the mood struck our fancy, then came home and grilled.
Yesterday we mostly lounged and did some spring cleaning.
I've lived in MA for 30 years. DH and I are just starting to think about looking at houses. What I have HEARD about Stoughton is that the schools are not very good and that Walpole has much better schools (and a prison-haha). This is from several moms that I work with (one of whom pulled her kids out of Stoughton schools and are sending them to private). Just throwing it out there, I have no personal experience though.
Our weekend was pretty good. Friday I surprised DH for his birthday (it's actually not until next weekend but I had to do it a little early). I got us a room at the Omni Parker House and we had an amazing dinner in the hotel and then afterwards I surprised him with Celtics tickets (we've never been!). He was SO excited. Then Sat morning we walked through the Commons and had some breakfast in Beacon Hill. When we got home we went for long walks both Sat and Sunday since it was so nice out. We didn't do much else Saturday and Sunday other than some cleaning and errands but it was a good weekend.
BTW Rock, I am completely amazed that you can play 12 HOURS of volleyball. I really need to get back in shape

As for the volleyball thing, it wasn't 12 *straight* hours of playing of course. But I did start the day around 9am and stopped around 9pm, with lots of breaks sprinkled throughout. Sorry if that was totally misleading, haha!
