sometimes it pays off!
So, I'm now 37 weeks pregnant, and just completed the first of two weeks of working my "usual" Spring/Summer 2-job, 13-hour days. I know, I know. And with gestational diabetes, this makes packing all 3 meals and 3 snacks a day a bit more challenging than it ever used to be to pull of this schedule.
But, my amazing co-workers at my night job - who work the job for the extra money, like I do - pitched in to get me baby stuff, including a gift card to cover the cost of my CRIB!!!
I just ordered the crib, it's even on sale this week! This allowed me to re-prioritize the other gift cards and cash I have and I also ordered the crib mattress and a few other smaller things - using my registry completion coupon from BRU. ![]()
AND, now I get to hang onto the extra money I made last week, which I had planned on using to buy the crib!
Re: I may be crazy, but...
Yay, I worked two jobs while pregnant too, and the girls at job 2 bought me our pack and play while the guy we worked with bought me all kinds of cute stuff... he said he wanted to get fun stuff not practical stuff like the pack and play so he got bibs, a diaper caddy thing and some other little things that were useful but fun from the j. cole collection at babies r us.. totally a surprise and so cute that he went out by himself to get stuff!
Sounds like you have some great co-workers!

The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware; joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware. -Henry Miller
