Sister Wives (spoiler warning!)
Who watched? Thoughts?
SPOILERS BELOW!
It really bothers me that Mary lost her job because of her lifestyle. In the public sector, she could sue and would probably win. Public employers can't discriminate based on religion. I don't know about private sector HR, though.
Also, I really like this family. I think that they are rasing very open minded children. I like that they are rasing them base dupon their beliefs, but want them to make there own decisions about how to lead their life.

Re: Sister Wives (spoiler warning!)
I have grown to like them. At first I was shocked and appalled at their lifestyle, but you know what, there is so many "worse" things in their world for people to worry about or that deserve attention. They are a happy, functional family, and while I am not wanting a sister wife, I'm not judging them.
I don't like that Mary lost her job either... but I am sure since her company was private they didn't want the attention. They probably all should have told their employers before the show came one what they were doing, and it might have changed things, who knows. I would be interested to see how much they are making an episode, wonder if its anywhere near what Kate pulls in.
I didn't think anyone could discriminate based on religion, public or private. Or maybe that's just my ethical opinion outweighing the facts
I love this family. I think Cody is a complete creep, but I love all of the wives. The children seem very normal, and I like that they're able to accept their family's beliefs or not. Several have said they wany monogamous relationships and I think that's wonderful.

Yes, it is illegal. Word is that Kody (the husband) is only legally married to the first wife, Meri.
They didn't really say exactly. But, I don't think they have never talked about who they work for.
I guess my underlying thought it that I honestly just don't get why people have such a problem with how consenting adults* live their lives that there would be negative consequences for a company.
*I realize the argument exists that the children don't have a choice, but I think these kids are better taken care of than a lot of kids I see every day. They are not the stereotypical polygamous family that you read about.
