Where is the Monday post?
I guess I'll start it off.
Boo, Monday's. I'm so freaking tired and I wish I could have called in sick today. Weekend went by way too fast. We made $121 from our yard sale, woo hoo!
Yesterday I had my volunteer training and since this month is volunteer appreciation month, they provided us with dinner. I also won a $10 Starbucks gift card for being an awesome volunteer. I used it this morning for my Americano.
How was everyone's weekend?

Re: So um...
Woohoo...it's Monday morning and I'm on furlough this week!
Not happy about not getting any pay, but I'm glad for a break!
I started last week at my new position up in Richmond and it's SO much better! The atmosphere in general is so much better...I love it already!
This weekend we moved my Mom and her FI into their new house and my Mom's townhouse (where we'll live) is so empty already it's crazy!
I feel like I slept my weekend away. Boo...
Yesterday we had Sunday Day Date and went to a minor league baseball game and I am now burnt. Then we went to dinner. It was nice to spend the day together Greg has worked the last couple sundays and it is our only day off together. Greg made fun of me all day that I couldn't drink.
Beside yesterday it was a pretty lame weekend.
Our weekend was pretty busy but good :-)
Saturday we went out to breakfast, then out to my parents to watch my little brother get all dolled up for prom. Then got to bring home my other brothers ring her bought over in England for his gf (soon to be fiance)! It's beautiful he did a good job. Then that evening we went out to dinner with Toby's cousins who were in town there were 16 of us at OG, they thought we were crazy because we are a huge loud group everywhere we go.
Yesterday we had 2 birthday parties and grocery shopping and nap.
Today is the beginning of hell week. One of my bosses is gone and she's a huge player in the work flow around here, not to mention to of my coworkers don't do shiz around here and I wouldn't be suprised if one of them is fired by the end of the week.
Happy day!

I think I've finally caught up on the boards from last week. (Congrats Xtine!)
It's Monday. The Monday after Spring Break. I need another week off. We were in Albany all weekend for Jeremy's tennis tournament. He made it to the semi finals in men's singles, did a crash and burn dive for a ball during the first set and hurt his wrist and leg and his serves and shots weren't the same after that. I was good about sunscreen all weekend and we got to the courts early yesterday and it was FREEZING and way cloudy. The sun came out about the time Jeremy went on the courts and I figured I'd be okay for a little bit. Yeah not so much. I have a funky burn on my legs from the way I was sitting.
Jeremy decided to stay in Albany this week to visit with his family so I made the 4 hour drive home by myself last night. Not sure what I'll do all week. I haven't had a week to myself since before we were engaged. I'll probably be lost.
As for the job scene, Jeremy plans to go to school full time and get unemployment (not sure how that works but he said it does so idk). I'm still looking for a summer job. I did hear back from the same company I worked for last summer and if I can still do PRN just for the summer then I will. I just don't think I can go FT with adults. Kids are my heart and this morning proved it so yeah kinda stuck for now.
Good, busy weekend. Did a lot of dishes/laundry/cleaning on Saturday. Got up early (5am!!) on Sunday and painted all the trim for the basement. Took a little less than 6 hours between prep, painting & cleanup. Napped, then baby shower for our neighbor and dinner for SIL's birthday.
Our dishwasher had been limping along for a couple months now and it finally completely took a crap last week, so we got a new one on Saturday night and DH installed it yesterday. It was fabulous this morning NOT having to re-wash half of the 'clean' dishes.
Oddball projects on tap for today...finishing up our taxes, looking for a pediatrician, grocery shopping. Thinking a nap might be at the top of the list, though...
My weekend was good, and over-indulgent. Friday I went to happy hour with some of my labmates and had some yummy food and drinks, and then Jeff and I stayed in and played Mario Kart Wii with my sister online. Saturday we went to Volt for lunch to celebrate my quals/Jeff's birthday and his graduation from physical therapy. I ate rabbit for the first time! Then my aunt, uncle, and 4-y.o. cousin called to say they were in the neighborhood so we went out for our favorite pizza for dinner (abandoning the light dinner we'd planned since lunch was so extravagant). My cousin is too cute for words. Sunday we both went to work for a bit and then went out with a friend to a nice dinner to celebrate Jeff's birthday; it was supposed to be a big group but a bunch of people bailed. I ate foie gras for the first time - I'm being more adventurous
We knew we had all this eating coming up and declared that once Jeff's birthday celebrations were over, we were going to be eating healthier and working out more. I've gained some serious weight from stress eating and a lack of exercise (due to stress and being crazy busy), and I need to re-prioritize and find a way to fit workouts back into my schedule. Plus if I don't lose weight, none of my summer clothes are going to fit - it was really hard finding a shirt to wear today, it's a lot easier to hide extra fat in winter clothes. Jeff works out regularly, but he's going to step up the cardio so he can be 'more toned', plus it's good for his knee.
Monday..not so fun day! This weekend was actually very relaxed for once. Friday I just hung out around the house, H worked until 11 like always.
Saturday I slept til 11, it felt so good. I have been major lazy lately. Then H called me and said lets have people over tonight so I imediately got up and started doing a major clean around the house and took a break around 1 and went and dropped a bag of clothes at goodwill and then got subway. Then got back to cleaning when i got home, I looked at the clock and it was already 5 and H gets of at 630. So had to get ready and then we met some friends at Olive Garden and then they came back to our house and we played sequence and chated. FUN!! Then sunday we did our normal lunch date then families houses.
Oh Monday! I have a night class tonight and I always procrastinate in reading for it so now I'm reading alllllll day.
We had a busy weekend - ran errands and bought lots of odds and ends for the house. I think everyone we know is having a baby this month so we ended up buying ridiculous amounts of baby gifts (which drove me crazy since DH spends crazy wads of cash on his friends who couldn't be bothered to bring us wedding gifts - these are people who swim in money - but whateves)
I NEED to work on getting my bar applications put together this week.... arrrgh.
Morning!
Susie, I can't believe how active you are!
Laura, how was Volt? Sounds like you liked it? I'm super jealous.
We had a nice lazyish weekend. I had a haircut and lunch with my bridesman on Saturday, then we did yard work yesterday. We planted a lime tree (had for over a year in a large pot) and a lemon (bought yesterday), which I'm excited about. Had to cover them with chicken wire, because the puppy gets interested whenever something new is actually planted. She pulled out one of our rose bushes last year, and I had to replant it, boo.
We had a nice weekend. I wasn't feeling well on Friday, so H picked up some sandwitches for dinner and I fell asleep early.
Saturday I woke up feeling better. I went out to run some errands at the mall. Got my rings cleaned and inspected, bought some weights to start doing some more toning excercises for my arms, and used my coupon to get my free pair of panties at Victorias Secret. I bought a new shirt too in a size smaller than I usually wear and it fits perfect
. When I got home H and I went out to buy some alcohol and made a pizza for dinner - it came out GOOD!
Sunday it was SO nice out we decided we wanted to do something outside. We went out to lunch and Coldstone Creamery, then stopped in New Balance and each ended up buying a new pair of sneakers (my old ones were falling apart and I needed a good pair for the treadmill or I'll end up blowing out my knees). Then we spent the afternoon walking along the trails at Minuteman National Park (Battle Road from the Revolutionary War, etc.) Did three loads of laundry, picked up around the house, and called it a day. I wish we had today off instead of next Monday - it's nice and WARM out finally!!
That sounds like a great deal! I wish we lived closer to awesome restaurants. But, then again, MH isn't a really adventurous eater, so it probably wouldn't work anyway. Boo.
We had a pretty good weekend. Saturday we did a trash cleanup on the watershed right near where we work. It's a community-wide event, so we got out and helped clean trash out of the creeks and reservoirs we directly impact each day. It was insane the amount of trash we found. But I felt really good about myself after cleaning it all up!
The only other highlight of the weekend was finally buying myself a pair of five fingers shoes. These things are awesome! They're so comfy and I can already feel better balance and different muscles working when I walk, etc.
Otherwise a fairly boring weekend. We cleaned and slept and watched movies and the rest of the The Kennedys.
Hi girls. We had a decent weekend. I had Saturday off, which hasn't happened in over a month.
AND We had amazing weather for once! Hubs had to work ALL day Saturday though, and didn't get home til after 5 so I spent the day doing some random stuff around the house. Planting my strawberry plants into the bag thing I bought for 6 bucks and putting down some landscape fabric to keep the weeds down in my flower garden. Ran out of the steel pins to hold in in place before I used up the entire two rolls of stuff though, which ended being a good thing, I almost overdid myself. I am so out of shape. H got home and we went out to a late dinner out, then bought a Wii Fit! I have been wanting the balance board basically since we got the Wii for a wedding present... so YAY! I have used it everyday so far (two days, haha) and I am definetely feeling it, but having FUN doing it. WHOO. Maybe I'll actually look good in shorts this summer!
Sunday was a "follow H around day" since we hadn't seen each other. He went to a dirt race track to practice with his quad about 45 minutes away. There are a TON of bikes, but there was only about 4 quads there.
H loves to ride, but this was a HUGE track compared to what he's used to at home and he hit a jump wrong and reinjured his shoulder that he hurt last summer in softball, so off to the after hours clinic we go tonight after he gets out of work today to FINALLY get it looked at. Hopefully it isn't anything really serious, but he really needs to get it taken care of since it has been bugging him from before the wedding. Too long. *sigh* Stubborn man.
On the up side, I got a little sun yesterday on my face with the 80 degree temps we enjoyed... I am also heading to town to get a haircut and malibu before I meet H after work so I don't feel as frizzy and crappy about my LONG hair. I am debating cutting it to donate, but I like it to be at least ponytail length, so.... maybe just some style to it for today.
ETA: sorry I wrote a book there. haha. I am on my computer for once so I didn't edit myself much apparently.
Boo Monday
Weekend was pretty good!!! Unfortunately not much time with hubs
He was gone thurs and fri for a conference, got back sat afternoon, and left sunday afternoon for a week for another conference
BUT!
Friday went bowling with the grad students which was superfun
, Saturday got kitty groomed, went to the art show downtown, then when hubs got back went to dinner with some friends and just hung out the rest of the night
that was superfun too! Sunday was BEAUTIFUL here so I went between sitting outside, watching baseball and watching the masters! (I felt like a middle aged man when I was doing this)
now i have to figure out what to do this week without hubs!!
(im guessing i will be eating sushi, watching say yes to the dress, and all of the other reality shows that hubs hates lol)
