I live in Stafford and I need movers for a local move (within the same neighborhood even!). If you can recommend a moving company or even small, local company, i would greatly appreciate it! We're hoping to move by the end of April.

Re: NoVA Moving Company
We used My Truck Buddy for our Alexandria to Arlington move in February. LOVED THEM! You pay by the hour. It took them 3.5 hours total which included disassembling two beds and taking the legs off the dining room table, packing the truck, driving to the new place, unloading the truck, and reassembling the furniture. All four guys were so friendly and efficient.
Here is the website: http://www.mytruckbuddy.com/
I recently used Smooth Movers and loved them.
http://www.smooth-movers.com/ Whenever I move, I always opt to pay for the hourly rate since I know that I'm organized and that it will usually cost less than the full move quote the company uses. I think Smooth Movers was $65/hour for two movers which was the best price I found. Also, Art the owner is great to work with and always called me or emailed me back within a few hours."They say with time it gets better. Not true. With time you only get used to it."
