6 days...I can make it...
I'm getting my haircut on Saturday and my hair is driving my bonkers. I hate the last few days before a cut!! I'm not 100% certain what I want to do with it yet.
Whoah. I Googled "angled bob" and got this pic.....ummmm....NO!

Re: 6 days...I can make it...
Funny - I just booked a hair appointment too! I had the option between tomorrow and next Tuesday and while I really want my hair cut, I didn't think I'd be able to find and decide on a style by tomorrow so I went with the appointment for next Tuesday.
and yeah, that angled bob is a bit, ummmm, extreme. I often wonder if when these types of cuts are photographed the model is like "OK, you have your picture of me looking like an idiot . . . now fix my hair so I can walk in public without looking like some freak from a futuristic sci-fi movie!"
Yeah some of the hair books at the salon are cray-zay. I don't think "real" people ever get cuts like that.
My cut could be considered an angled bob but as it grows out it becomes less sleek and pretty and more mushroom-y soccer-mom bob. :-/ It is starting to curl under and tickle my chin and it's driving me crazy!! Blah!
This is what I want to do minus the bangs and not quite so long at the front.
Cute!! Very sleek and edgy without being over the top!
I wish I could do something like that with my hair - but I am "blessed" with extremely thick, wavy hair that will not hold a style, so I usually have to go with basic blah cuts - a little layering, shorter in front, blah blah blah. Unless it is SUPER short (boy-cut short), the waviness just makes it go POOF!
Of course, I'm also lazy about my hair and don't have the patience to do a proper straightening in the morning. Blow and go is my style (oh, that sounds SO wrong!). Besides, those instances when I have put in the extra effort - the style holds for about 2 hours and then it is back to waves, like it or not. :-(
My hairstyle seems similar to what you are going for. It looks similar to your picture, but the front is about chin length. It's still "stacked" in the back with short layers which I feel gives it a little more modern look without going crazy.
Yeah that is how I normally have it cut. As it grows out though different pieces grow faster or slower so it eventually it just a weird mess. :-) Can't wait to feel breeze on my neck on Saturday!!!!!! I'm debating how short to go in the back this time... hmmm. I normally don't go quite so long between cuts but scheduling wise this Saturday worked best.
I wish I could just freeze time when it's all at the perfect length!! :-)
I hear ya! Although, that has resulted in a couple of bad walk-in cuts for me. I've learned you do not want the person who happens to be available for a walk in to cut your hair.* I want someone who is booked out at least a week. :-)
(I realize this isn't true for 100% of stylists....it has just been my experience.)
I love that I have been going to my stylist long enough that I trust her completely with my hair. I just go in (usually every 6-8 weeks) and say "make me look good" and she does. LOL. I give her a general idea, like if I want it shorter or something, but in general, I just let her do her thing. I've found that bringing in a picture of what I want never works. Either it doesn't look good on me, or it requires way more time to style than I care to spend.
Post pictures when you are done, Kiz. We want to see.
I love the feeling of a haircut. I typically go a long time between cuts, 6 months or more, and it feels so fantastic to literally feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and the breeze on my neck.
Enjoy and I really think you should go for that 1st pic. Hee hee!
Haha, well I'm very excited for that as well! Normally when I get a haircut it's after work and I just go home and go to bed. This time I can go out and "show it off" :-)
