I had an interview for what can only be described as my dream job on Wednesday, 3/23. The interview was phenomenal. At one point during the interview, the hiring manager even said, "Wow, it sounds like this is the job you've worked your entire career for." and "This will be a great fit for you." The next step is to interview with someone who would fly in from headquarters. The initial interviewer told me she would "for sure" get back to me to schedule that interview in "2 weeks."
So last Wednesday would have been 2 weeks. I called her office and her voicemail said she was "out of the office in meetings" until today (Monday). Would it be appropriate to call her this afternoon? I never want to push too hard, but I really really want this one.

I would do it ASAP. Some people wait for you to follow up to make sure you are serious.
