Happy story for Monday!

I had to share this with you girls because I know a lot of you support rescue animals.  DH and I went to the Safari Park in San Diego yesterday to see if we could spot the new baby cheetah.  To our surprise, we got within 3 feet of her!  Apparently the staff take her out once a day for 5 minutes in the corner of the park with her ambassador (a rescue dog) to train her, and we happened to be at the right place at the right time.  They don't announce this because they don't want huge crowds so we were super lucky.  Anyway, we got to see her interact with her best friend, a the 2-year-old rescue dog.  I guess they pair many of the baby animals at the park with rescue dogs in get them to be more social; when the cheetah sees that her dog is comfortable in an environment, the cheetah calms down.  It was such an amazing experience to witness, here are some pictures: imageimage
